It’s hard to argue the fact most people will have some form of appreciation for an exotic car.   See a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder a Ferrari F430 or an Aston Martin DB9 and even a non-car enthusiast would likely take a second glance.     Buying and driving a supercar however is not something within the budget of most. Enter Darren from XtremeX NZ. Darren gets you into the Supercar realm without dropping huge stacks of cash. Offering both ride and drive options from his fleet of exotics.   Now focus ..read more

Tim’s V8 180SX

Recent dyno re-tuning of Tim’s V8 180SX saw intake air temperatures sky rocket to unsafe levels. Disappointingly this meant the power increases of his newly fabricated headers couldn’t yet be realised. To combat the high intake air temperatures we’ve fabricated this cold airbox and 4” intake to help draw cooler fresher air into the engine. We also sent his headers for Procoating inside and out to further drop underbonnet temps. Back to the dyno shortly where we hope to see some bigger numbers! Project Pajero

We thought we’d put together a little write up on our very own ‘Project Pajero’ and our opinions on setting one up for some off-road fun. Whilst some of the info and opinions will be Pajero specific, a lot is applicable to any 4×4 being setup. So whether you have a Pajero or not, hopefully there will be something for everyone! Having owned two of this 3.5litre V6 ‘Gen2’ spec Pajero now, we have a greater appreciation for the ‘bang for your buck’ they offer that is arguably not comparable to any other 4×4 on the market. We can’t comment on the 3litre V6 or diesel variants although some of this ..read more

We recently had the opportunity to tickle up a 2017 Subaru WRX. Late model vehicles can sometimes take a while to trickle down to the people that modify them, and it was a bit of an interesting one for the team that hadn’t seen too much of Subaru’s low mount turbo setup they now have. The first part of this crisp white Subaru’s time with us had it bolted to the dyno down the road at Prestige Tuning and Motorsport. With a few warm up pulls, the completely stock WRX measured 145.3kw at the wheels. This formed the base point for the modifications we had lined up for it. Getting it back ..read more

We are back to reality after an amazing weekend at Leadfoot Festival for the debut of the Matt Gaskin Motorsport VK56 R32. The car ran faultlessly all weekend with the only real issue being a lack of traction as the rear tyres struggled to contain the increased torque of the new engine package! Matt improved his times every run up the course with the quickest being 59.28 seconds. Congratulations to Matt on a great first event. With some more seat time and fine tuning of the setup we can’t wait to see this beast reach its full potential. The post Matt Gaskin Motorsport VK56 R32 appeared first ..read more
