Salaam is it halal if I decided I don't want to ever get married. I like women but don't want to work in any of the fields that pay family wages. I don't think it is worth it to spend 40 hours a week at a job I hate so I can be married and she probably just complains all the time I'm home. I'd rather be alone and do something I like. Is this haraam ..read more

https://kondori.wordpress.com/2011/0...omes/#more-467 To solidify (make mausoleums out of) the graves of the Auliyaa and build domes thereupon It has been clearly stated in the Ahaadith of Nabi (salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam) that as far as possible, graves should not be desecrated and disrespected, that is, one should not sit on the graves, walk upon them, urinate or defecate on them, change their form, etc. All such acts are prohibited in the Shariah. The grave of a believer is a resting place in the Aalam-e-Barzakh, which should be respected, and not desecrated. Some say that building str ..read more

Asa. You may remember my post from some while ago about my situation with my in laws. After a few months of returning from an abusive environment whilst living with my in laws I asked hubs to keep his conversations with his family away from me so I don't hear or see them. I did my best to explain how it brews up feelings of hurt and anger inside me. He unwillingly respected my boundaries. His mother refused to call me when my dad passed away early last year, just left a text. When my husband was ill in hospital she didn't call to ask me how he is or how me and the children are or if we neede ..read more

I am very disappointed with the Muslim world. Muslims like to mention about how the prophet says ...seek knowledge even going as far as China...But my disappointment is that 'ilmu' to Muslims means generally religious knowledge. I was once a young Muslim and was aware Muslims only seek religion, very seldom did I find any showing much interest in science. Science gives power, extremely great power as was shown how nuclear physics forced the end of World War Two. Muslims generally have little knowledge about the truth in science. They only listen to what they have been told in the media. How ma ..read more

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Salamu alaikum forum, I know there are many people facing challenges to find a spouse. For example, people over 50, mentally ill, sisters with children, reverts, and those with an std ie herpes. These are people in our communities who do not reach out because of other folks biases (assumptions, beliefs and values). In other words, they feel people will judge them through cultural lens, those stigmas and stereotypes. Therefore the issue is a crisis which impacts wellbeing (afiyah). I would like to discuss marriage barriers and the hardships that people are facing with th ..read more

Asalam mu alaikum All, I have been looking for marriage solidly for about 2 years now Alhamdulilah and currently a 29 M and professional who makes a good income Alhamdulilah. In the west I have found sisters to be difficult for the following reasons: 1) They want to work and so will want support with chores / domestic activities e.g. cooking / cleaning 2) The man has to provide, which is fair and I'm more than happy to provide 3) They expect you to help even if you are providing and it isn't that I can't, but it shouldn't be my responsibility So in conclusion I would be doing 1.5 jobs as I ..read more
