Club Life
Straight into 24′ we go ..
We’re burning down the January straight and there’s no time to slow down. The annual calendars been penned out and she’s looking busy, the drive – to deliver events to the members.
Our monthly club nights sit prominent. Motorkhanas, rallysprint and hillclimbs sprinkled throughout giving members variation and choice. One hill climb in particular, a special one – the Rodney Atchison Memorial Tarmac Hill Climb which is set to run later in the year. Everything gets put into events but this one will feel like that little bit extra and will re ..read more

The Concept through to the Sideways
We’ve done it before, how hard can it be… Collaboratively speaking, ‘a LOT harder than a rally sprint’.
The time has come though, where the concept comes alive and we prepare to open the doors to the forest and let the cars back in to play.
In between showers, the roads are magic and the pace is fast. Take the opportunity to tear into six stages of the forests finest sections, medium to hard compound, flowing, gliding through trees, just ripper!
Don’t let the scenic outlays get you distracted when you pop out of the trees, competing teams converging on ..read more

Ducks in a row for a good rally in 5 weeks’ time in Maramarua Forest.
Organization extravaganza, small wins and big gains are being made leading up to September’s event. It’s binding in and looking mighty good people. Rallying right in our backyard, put that in your dairies. This is a hot ticket item so get entries in members, we really want to see our guys out competing just as much as the rest of the field. This will be the event of 2023 for the club and we want to see it well supported.
Events dates are next highest trending theme, organizer’s need plan early for preferential ..read more

We’re reaching the midway point of 2023, quite surreal how fast the year is accelerating along. The economic climate is volatile, the weather is unpredictable, things are seemingly getting harder for the everyday person.
Resilience though is underlying and Kiwi’s continue to have this amazing attitude in the face of doubt and uncertainty. We must keep pushing the boundaries and tracking forward, she’ll be right mate…we hope…
In the coalpit of the current climate, organisers stick to their guns and forge ahead with event progress. In return, people keep turning up on event day ..read more

With a good splattering of events on, people have been putting in the km’s around the country to get to their place to be. Race skill’s activated with pot hole mines everywhere along thy journey.
The weather pressure cooker’s still simmering so we’ll count our lucky stars and take any events where we can. We feel for the organizer’s, watching rain clouds swirl leading up to race day. Winter racing has its extra challenges.
Bring the right tyres along because tomorrow won’t be like today. Invest in a good gazebo.

Event Month
Usually struggling to meet the deadline to spit out the newsie, this month it comes slightly early. It’s event month & we’re buzzing!
Rev up your engines people & make your way to Bothwell Loop Rallysprint.
The weather’s being fair, Autumn’s sun breakouts reminds us of what we should have had & have definitely missed. Even the cicadas are confused, chiming late into the nights. I heard a few rogue operators late last night, shakes head….
I think underlyingly, we’re soaking up whatever sun’s left as we watch the start of the Autumn leaves fall, catch the evenings cool ..read more

February NEWS
Last I checked it was Summer although I’m not entirely sure. You grab a hat then it pours, you reach for a raincoat & it’s back to 30°C+, cummon Mother Nature…
The weather has certainly dampened our spirits but not our drive. We do have wet socks, we feel a little short changed – just remember it will get better, it can’t be roses & champagne all the time.
Cyclone Gabrielle has devastated our country, our homes, our people, our roads. Thoughts go out to those worse off, mother nature deals some cruel blows sometimes. Not even the humble farmers who know weather b ..read more

2023, here we are. . .
Wash the slate clean & get into it – literally wash with the amount of rain we’ve had post Xmas. The club’s website events calendar has been updated & there are a lot of events plugged in this year, a good planning tool to schedule your race commitments for 23’.
New Year’s resolution, well, firstly burn off the Xmas food intake, sigh..
Secondly, don’t blame the race suit for shrinking, it is nooot the suuit & thirdly, get out & enjoy the splattering of events on offer.
