I really like the way this team is trending. Marty St Louis has done a great job of steadily guiding the young talent and their depth on defense seems to be superior. The Montreal Canadiens reportedly agreed to trade veteran center Sean Monahan to the Winnipeg Jets on Friday.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Canadiens will receive a first-round pick and a conditional draft pick in return. TSN's Pierre LeBrun added that the first-rounder is in 2024, and the conditional pick is a 2027 third-rounder.
Monahan, who has spent the past two seasons in Montreal, is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season ..read more

ADDITIONS Alex Newhook was the big add from the Avalanche for a first and a fourth. Casey DeSmith was added in the Karlsson to Pens deal but he is reportedly on the block. Gustav Lindstrom came from Detroit for Petry and will compete for the 7D spot.

MONTREAL -- Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Wednesday that the team has agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract (2022-23 to 2024-25) with forward Juraj Slafkovsky.
Slafkovsky, 18, played in 38 games for TPS Turku in the Liiga in Finland last season, scoring five goals to go along with five assists.

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Kirby Dach from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the 13th and 66th overall picks in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

The Montreal Canadiens surprisingly passed on Shane Wright with the first overall pick in the 2022 NHL draft and instead selected Slovakian forward Juraj Slafkovsky with the No. 1 pick on Thursday at Bell Centre.

I used to do these for years, kinda got away from it, but quite honestly I always loved doing them. Following along with a dozen bullet point question/answers along the same route that Bill James used to in his original abstract books from the early nineties. God willing and the creek dont rise I will probably knock out one a day for 32 days. Nice thing with this is if I skip a day I can double up or just go at my own pace.
