I honestly don't know which is worse...dealing with marble-mouthed, surly and unhelpful fast-food employees. Or not. :D
Didn't get together with Mom today for our usual Sunday lunch/hang out, so around 5:30pm, I swung by Taco Bell for the first time in probably 7-8 months (was craving a burrito). I walked in, and gone were the nice, earthy colors and decor that it was the last time I visited, last summer. For a fast-food place, it looked quite nice...comfy tables, stone work, nice paint/colors (like a Mexican Panera..."upscale" fast-food, which all the joints have gone to, trying to look like ..read more

Apple's Siri, the virtual assistant, can be useful for managing certain aspects of pet care when the pet owner is not at home. Here are some ways Siri can help:
1. Setting Reminders: Siri can remind the pet owner to perform specific tasks such as feeding the dog, administering medication, or taking them for a walk at designated times.
2. Controlling Smart Home Devices: If the pet owner has smart home devices like automated feeders or cameras, Siri can be used to control them remotely. For example, Siri commands can be used to dispense food for the dog or check on them through a camera feed ..read more

Mine currently has more than 20,000 photos, 2,700 videos, and takes up 6.65GB of space.
I took many of the previous photos off of the phone when ingesting them into my Aperture library.
At this point I'm planning to copy the remainder of the photos off the phone to add to a managed Lightroom Classic folder on an external drive.
Still, it would be nice to keep a lot of them in the Apple Photos library as well, so that I can access them when I'm on the road. Toward that end, I might also ingest some of my OLDER folders back into the Photos app – and from what I'm reading it would be an expens ..read more

Okay, this makes no sense.
The company that solders the standardized RAM and locks down the standardized SSDs, is going to make removable batteries?
Using the photo of an iMac in the patent application is clearly misdirection. iMacs do not need rechargeable batteries. At all.
Apple's MacBook line does, and if this is real in any way, that's the application.
Maybe the Right-to-Repair guys and the EU bureaucrats have broken them, and we will have a new age of expandable Macs.
Or maybe, this is just a patent app destined to sit in a desk drawer somewhere ..read more

Somehow I missed the news of this yesterday: Apple unveils the new 13- and 15‑inch MacBook Air with the powerful M3 chip
Besides the chip upgrade, pretty much the same as current models with a few nice boosts such as support for 2 external displays and Wi-Fi 6E. Same sizes, same colors, same pricing.
Notably, Apple is still selling the 13" M2 at $999, a $100 price drop. The 15" M2 is discontinued ..read more
