Hi folks,
Just a quick question: A few days ago I underwent root canal treatment. The thing is, a few days later, I'm experiencing a dull and aching pain around the treated area. I'm popping the Neurofen plus in order to keep the pain away. In fairness, the pain pretty much vanishes after a couple of painkillers. I'm just wondering is such pain normal after root canal treatment?
TIA!

I have to have a Root Canal procedure on a molar tooth. My dentist said he would refer me to an Endodontist who would be in touch. They have just quoted €1,175. It will be performed in one visit, under local anaesthetic. It much more than I thought.
I was expecting €600-800 but this seems a lot. Any views on the quote? Going to Budapest would make sense at these prices. I lived in Switzerland for a while and the Swiss go there for major work due to sky high prices there.
I had emergency treatment on it so done if the work is already done (temp filling in place and infection treated ..read more

Hi all,
I’m unhappy with my teeth. Some have become crooked and I want my teeth whitened. At the minute a lot of people are going abroad, mainly Turkey to get work done but I would prefer to get it done in Dublin.
Anyone have any recommendations? Feel free to PM if posting recommendations is against the rules.
Thanks ..read more

Teenage son messing in school managed to crack his tooth which extends down through one of his front teeth but luckily no part has broken off/missing. No sensitivity to hot or cold. Went to school dentist who did an X-ray and said all is fine & there’s nothing that can be done until or if it ever breaks and then go about getting something done with it.
Is there any kind of sealant or treatment that is out there that could prevent it getting any worse and breaking in the future ..read more

A couple of questions:
I am not getting sedation for a dental implant - lower molar, is this normal?
Is there much discomfort/pain after getting a dental implant?
Are stitches always required or does this depend on the complexity etc.
I'm just wondering what shape I will be in the next day as I have to go out that night.
Thanks ..read more

Went to my dentist, he did some x rays, and it turns out I have to have all four wisdom teeth removed. Went to the consultant, he was lovely, but date for operation is drawing nearer. Just starting to get a bit nervous.:(
Anyone with any advice, tips or positive previous experiences of having their wisdom teeth removed ..read more

My right upper lateral incisor tooth is broken and my dentist told that it could be good to put a bridge.
However, my dentist told me also because my lower right lateral incisor and my lower central incisor are a little bit one on top of the other when I will bite these two teeth will put pressure on my bridge and as a consequence my bridge may not last a long time.
I would like to know what I can do to fix this problem ..read more

I had implants inserted upper left with bridge unit. Same on the upper right.
The right side is perfect but I now occasionally bite my tongue accidently on the left side.
Is this common and how can it be resolved ..read more

Hi,
I had a tooth that a root canal was performed on some years back. A few days ago, this tooth broke and then fell out.
Could a dental implant or bridge be an option here to compensate for the gap where the tooth once was ..read more
