The Portland Timbers went down early to the Vancouver Whitecaps, fought back from a two-goal deficit to tie it, but lost on a sloppy late goal by the Whitecaps for a 3-2 final. Evander and Felipe Mora would score for the Timbers, while Ryan Gauld, Fafà Picault, and Ryan Raposo would score for the hosts. The Portland Timbers had a spectacular opening to the 2024 system, with four goals in just the first half on the way to a 4-1 win over the Colorado Rapids.  Eryk Williamson had the opener while Antony found the net twice, then one of his passes was knocked in by a Colorado defender.  Calvin Harris had the lone goal for the Rapids.
