Thanks for the heads up! Collings ukuleles are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and quality, so it's understandable that they don't come up for sale often. It's great to know that Greg Boyd at the House of Fine Instruments in Missoula has a couple available from 2010. Having a reliable and reputable dealer like Greg can make the buying process much smoother and more trustworthy. For anyone in the market for a Collings ukulele, this could be a fantastic opportunity to acquire one from a trusted source.

I have an unused Collings OM case that came with my OM3G guitar in 2014. I bought a Calton case and the Collings case has been in my attic ever since. Let me know if you're interested.

Since sunburst are individually painted, no two are exactly the same. The ones shown don't appeal to me but they may someone else. Just find one you like the sound and look of and take it home.

I can't think of anything to look for other than what you would look for with any used guitar. Collings are among the best-built guitars and they hold up well. Check for any damage/repair, proper humidification, neck angle, string and saddle height... play it and if you like it, make your decision.

Hi, I'm looking at a used 2019 D2HT. It's being sold as "all original" as bought brand new but has a TKL case not a Collings case.
Price is a little steep without the Collings case IMO so curious if it was swapped out. I have the serial number but since not mine yet will refrain from posting here. So if someone knows via serial numbers sequence maybe that would help.
Thanks!
It won't have anything to do with serial numbers. The cases only shipped with some Traditional models and I believe it was only 2017 & 2018s before they stopped doing it. Maybe there were some 2019s but I've not seen ..read more

$5250 Shipped CONUS. This 2017 Collings CJ (Collings Jumbo) Sunburst is MINT-. The guitar is unmarked but there are some, almost imperceptible, pick marks on the pick-guard only seen when turning the guitar around in the light and looking for them. Unable to photo. These (with the factory pickup) are $7150 - If you could find one. You can purchase this like-new Collings CJ and save a lot. Wonderful tone and appearance. No one makes factory custom guitars that are more elegant or wonderful sounding than Collings. Fully bound neck and headstock. It's so factory mint- I've never even installed a ..read more

Hi John,
It's hard to tell without a photo, but if you're measuring action height from the bottom of the 6th string to the top of the 12th fret and you're reading 3/16", that's about double what most folks would call a normal action. It's not normal for a Collings Traditional model: factory spec for the bass side is 3/32". To bring your action down to factory spec you'd have to lower the saddle by twice the amount you want to lower the string at the 12th fret, namely 3/16" ((3/16" - 3/32") x 2), and that's all the saddle you have showing above the bridge; that would take your saddle down to n ..read more
