Hi all, I was wondering what’s the common practice regarding screening fees? From my understanding, if you submit to a festival or event organizers in general, you shouldn’t expect to be paid a screening fee. But, if the event programmer reaches out to you, then you should be provided a screening fee. Am I right on this?
Also, what is the average amount for a screening fee? I read this report stating that for feature films, screening fees generally go from $200 to $500, whereas for short films, they go from $50-$70. Thanks!

I’m working on a low-budget short to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Crash Bandicoot. A video game series that inspired me into filming, during the end of the short my goal is to have as many fans possible to put a 5-second clip of them saying “Happy Birthday Crash Bandicoot” (It can be goofy or creative as you want)
I wonder if anyone that is a fan like me would like to have a small part of this comedy short.
Filming begins this August for a September 9th release.
Thanks

Where on the Stareable websites can one browse listings of web series? That feature seems to have disappeared.
For example, the link https://www.stareable.com/series/view/brains used to link to the Stareable entry for the Brains web series, but now this link gives a 404 error. In fact this entire website directory no longer exists.

Hey all! I’m launching a comedy website soon that will feature various things including sketch and web-series. It’s predominately a website supporting women in comedy, so if you think your web-series would be a good fit, post it here! Just some free press for my fellow creators.
Thanks!
