The input impedance is set by R2=22K. I need an higher Zin because my tube premp likes higher Z. Have somebody tried an higher R2 value (like 50K-75K ..read more

I need more gain out of the phono amp I built and am exploring the SUT route. I have a Dynavector DV20X2H cartridge. Output 2.8mv Impedance 150Ω Recommended load >1000Ω From the reading I have done and I'll admit I don't have a comfortable amount of understanding but it seems like I would want to increase the output to roughly 5mv to put it on par with most MM carts. What ratio SUT do I want? 1:2? Then to get my 1000 loading parallel the 47000 with a 5.1k resistor which is divided by... Read more ..read more

Greetings All, My first post here. I am building the Nutube preamp kit and may have a packaging error. I have begun the assembly of my preamp kit and on confirming the parts selection to the instruction sheet document I may have found a discrepancy. The write up states that the jfets Q1 and Q2 are different and packaged accordingly. However I have found that while the Q1 package contained 4, FKH35 J113 fets, the Q2 package contained 2, of FKH35 and 2, of WH44 J113 fets. This raised a red... Read more ..read more
