I give Phil Neville an A for extra effort. The man simply doesn’t give up injecting that positivity to his starting eleven and making all the right moves with his side come game time.
What a game last Saturday night against the Houston Dynamo! Coming from behind and never surrendering despite the control the Texas side had over the Timbers lately, in the end the teams shared the spoils.

Suddenly, manager Phil Neville has found a winning formula as well a starting eleven that’s solid in defense; and with Araujo, Mosquera, Miller and Zuparic–these latter ones as the center back– we have the long-awaited solution for this team defensive woes.
With Evander leading the offensive game alongside Felipe Mora, Antony, and newly acquired Rodriguez, this team is starting to lift it up a notc ..read more

Immense is the ideal moniker for the Portland Timbers’ win over a renewed Austin FC and on the road at Q2 Stadium back in Austin, Texas. The Portland Timbers delivered with a win and a clean sheet courtesy of its backup keeper James Pantemis.
With Evander becoming a regular on every Team of the Matchday on Matchday 17, the Portland Timbers got a much-needed win and are in the postseason spots on the Western Conference.

Wow! What a win and amazing show of force shown to the visitors of Sporting Kansas City with a one-of-a-kind and raucous win over the visiting Midwest side that’s not playing their best football lately.
The defensive formation sent by manager Phil Neville featuring Miguel Araujo, Dario Zuparic, Kamal Miller and Juan Mosquera, became the ideal one and despite the ..read more

The Portland Timbers took on Sporting Kansas City on Veteran Appreciation Night at Providence Park. The atmosphere was tense in the stadium with the Timbers desperately needing a chance to create some positive momentum and confidence that would come from consecutive home wins.
Timbers head coach Phil Neville made some interesting changes to the line up moving Kamal Miller from center back to left back with Araujo and Zuparic as the two center backs. Juan Moquera played on the right to fill out the back line. David Ayala got the start next to Diego Chara and p ..read more

This cannot continue with these embattled Portland Timbers being just a one-half team, that they play amazing in one half and in the other half conceding. Games are played in ninety minutes.
Again, I do recall the efforts of manager Phil Neville to turn this team around for the better, but somehow some players aren’t playing to their standards or being too laid back.

We present to you something that is long overdue. As you are able to guess, we do not have people at all MLS and NWSL venues. If you do not see your team here, we have a story on them elsewhere on the site. Therefore, we present a brief summary of those matches here in random order. We’ll start with the NWSL where a former teammate haunted her former club:
Gotham FC 2-1 Chicago Red Stars: Ella Stevens scored against her former tam in the 90th minute to give Gotham the 2-1 win. Lynn Williams surpassed Sam Kerr for the all-lead goal scoring mark with 79 in the 57th minute to give Gotham th ..read more

Portland Timbers were able to achieve a much needed win with a thrilling four-goal second half come back in tale of two polar opposite halves. Timbers and Earthquakes were locked in a 2-2, till a VAR decision in the 90th minute gave Mora a penalty kick and made the score 3-2, and Rodriguez would lock the win finishing a counter attack in the 10th and last minute of stoppage time. The Timbers haven’t won after trailing by two or more goals since June 26, 2016, in a 3-2 win against Houston Dynamo FC.
