Hi, I’ve just received my Niche. I was previously using a Baratza Sette. I switch because I use many different beans and I hated the double adjustment on the Sette because I feel it makes more beans loss in the dial in process. My first impressions : I’m not that much impressed by the Niche speed or retention… the Sette is much faster and the Niche produces a lot of static, particularly in the provided cup. However, the taste in the cup is sooooo different. I’m now tasting a variety of flavours I had not perceived before… I have not made a lot of testing yet but… is this just in my head? It is ..read more

Machine has been regularly cleaned and back flushed. It's in perfect condition and looks like new - zero scratches or dents. Comes with all the accessories as from new, including original box + an additional skipping box provided by Bella Barista. Located in Scotland so pick-up would be best ..read more

SMEG ECF01 - water leakage while making espresso
Coffee Forums

Hi, I have had this machine for a couple of years and recently I have been experiencing water leakage from around the porta filter while making an espresso. I have tried descaling the machine already but it doesn't help. The espresso comes out ok and the leakage doesn't seem to be from the porta filter itself, but from somewhere before it touches the grounded coffee. I am wondering if it is easy and worth it to repair it or chuck the machine. Any help would be appreciated Thanks K ..read more

Sage Bambino - No coffee coming through group head (but doesn't seem blocked?)
Coffee Forums

I bought a sage bambino about two years ago and its been pretty great. The other day however it stopped working - when I press the one or two cup espresso button as normal, I will hear the machine making a loud pumping noise for upwards of a minute but no coffee comes out. Then loads of steam comes out at the drip tray. The weird part is that when I remove the group head - the water comes out fine. Its almost like there isn't enough pressure to force the water through the group head or its stuck in pre-infusion. I have descaled it with the solution but no improvement. I also reset it in case m ..read more

View Advert Niche Zero Grinder, Black Selling my Niche Zero as I don't make espresso anymore and I've downscaled to a hand grinder for the 1 cup I make per day. It hasn't been used much for the past 3-4 months. I bought it in January 2020 and on average it grinded 15-20g per day with some gaps of none use. Nothing major in terms of wear and tear. The wooden cup holder might show signs of age due to being cleaned etc, the cup may have some small scratches from being cleaned (not very visible unless shining light directly onto it). I'll include the screwdriver and brush, although the brush has o ..read more
