Welcome, Welcome this is our first blog post of the year and the topic of the day is: “Branding on a Budget!” I think I’ve done a pretty good job with branding ‘TealaTalks’, if I do say so myself lol. However, I am a university student so that means I’m still stuck in the pre-rich stage of life and when ya low on extra funds ya make do with what ya have.
Honestly, when I first started the blog I didn’t even think about all of this despite learning the importance of marketing as a student in the Business program at my university. All I knew was God said “Start the blog” and that was that. I ..read more

I wish I could start this post by saying this was me during this crazy year but I’d be lying if I said it was.
2020 is definitely one for the books and you betta believe despite this year not needing to be overdramatized I will be doing just so when I speak about it to my future kids and grandkids. This panda-men ..read more

The last two weeks for me have been quite hectic with midterms and due dates but in the midst of all of this I was able to attend a virtual youth conference hosted by Church of God of Prohphecy’s National Youth Ministry under the leadership of Minister Jason and Brandira Woodside. If you didn’t know I’m a pentecostal; born in prophecy lol.
Covid has brought many firsts and this virtual conference was one of them. I loved it so much so that I had to come and tell you about it.
This years’ theme was #CoveredinCrisis #purposeinpandemic, to Miss it was to diss it but lucky for you the replay is ..read more

Every part of me is beautiful

Welcome!, You are about to read another ‘TealaTalks’ post brought to you by DaBahamianMissCongeniality and today it’s all about insecurities. We all have parts of ourselves we wish we could change, parts of ourselves we may compare to others and wonder why God couldn’t add a dash more or a tad less for us like He did for Susie or John down the road.
For me my dash more is height and tad less is the bass in my voice, did someone say ..read more

I hope this blog post finds you well amidst the circumstances. As you would have already read this post is entitled, “Purposed Birthed from Pain”. After the Valentine’s Day post I decided I wouldn’t speak on my past relationship anymore simply because it’s in the past and I didn’t want that to be the central point of “TealaTalks”. However, I felt led to speak on it once more.
Ups and downs, it’s the circle of life. There will always be some degree of pain to be experienced in life, that’s just the way it is. Some pains are easier to forget; how it felt and the details surrounding it, but other ..read more

It’s been a minute since we’ve last met and I know you guys missed me because, come on, it’s me loll. I was missing yall too though, but we’re back so grab ya snack.
There were a lot of factors that contributed to the delay. One factor being, the direction of this post was constantly changing. I knew what I wanted to say but the words wouldn’t flow, I’ve been finding it hard to get in a productive mood with the new norm and then I honestly just wasn’t in the position I wanted to be in spiritually to write.
During our brief hiatus a lot has happened, I’m sure if we had all been ask ..read more

Yall I’ve been on this earth a whole 21 years and I still can’t believe I reach here already lol. I just wanna say thank you God for blessing me with another 360(circle) around the sun. This year is a special one for me, I’ve dedicated it to my cousin who lost his life last year at this age, well this one and every one henceforth for every year he won’t get to experience. I’ve vowed to make this year my best year yet. #shawnyworld . Every experience I’ve had thus far whether good or bad has helped to mold me into the individual I am today and is still shaping me into the woman I am becoming. S ..read more
