I'll be flying into LAS for the first time and I will have the whole family (along with luggage and car seats) with me. My usual plan in this situation is to leave the family at the terminal, hop on the car rental shuttle with the car seats as my only luggage, and then come back to the terminal to pick everyone up after taking care of all the paperwork and installing the car seats in the rented van. At the end of the rental period, I take the same steps in reverse order. As we expect to land at LAS in the evening (~ 9 PM) and I've never been at this airport, I'm looking for suggestions of pl ..read more

We are in Vegas for a week, our first trip here in ~ 5 years. We have been coming to Vegas nearly annually since the 1980s and wanted to pay our respects to the Tropicana. Here are the recent changes we have observed: ---the escalators and elevators serving the pedestrian overpasses are in even worse disrepair than ever. Last Sunday there was only one operating escalator on the walk from Paris to the Tropicana (say bye bye) and even one of the elevators was out of service. This a particular challenge to the mobility impaired and to parents pushing strollers. --like everything post-pandemic ..read more

Has anyone seen Santana recently? How is he as I am thinking of seeing him play at The House of Blues in Vegas. Then have to to take a flight out to BKK. I am Star so what is the best route to fly out? BR from Los Angeles or San Fransico? The fares on BR are the same but BR to TPE and then on TG is around thousand dollars cheaper but a 12 hours stay in TPE ..read more

The TSA is testing their prototype self screening process at LAS. They're starting with some Precheck lines. https://apnews.com/article/airport-s...941985f2a19003 There are lots of news reports with reporters demoing the process on youtube. It looks like the body scan will be using mmw instead of the regular precheck metal detectors, which will concern some. I think this will also take longer per person ..read more

Hi there I have an upcoming trip to Vegas in April and our 13 month old will be with us. Is there anyone with experience getting from the airport to hotels with a toddler? I’d like to book a reputable car service that will include a baby seat as we will not have our own. Looks like there are companies out there but they seem to be global booking systems rather than something vegas specific. Any advice most welcome! Thanks ..read more

I am going to be in Vegas last weekend of Feb and was looking for activities outside of Vegas and especially the Strip. Checked Hoover Dam and there are guided tours offered and they are $30 per person, while you can't buy them online - have you do it on spot. Last time I was at Hoover Dam it was when you could drive on it but never saw the engine/operating room. Does it worth to drive from Vegas and spend money on that? Thanks ..read more
