Whew, chile, 2020 has been a….year! This year has been such a trying time for many. From the pandemic running rapidly to us losing some legends, no one could have predicted the new decade would bring us such grief. Hey daddy, I hope you can still hear me from Heaven. It has officially been two years since you decided to leave me. I know it wasn’t your choice but still, why did you have to go? That day still plays in my head from time to time. I honestly try my best to think more of the great memories then the last one I had with you. This pain is just unbearable at times, but I am pushing through. Just wanted to talk to you about how it’s been going down here. I’m sure you are still watching over us daily. Just don’t pay attention to the mistakes I’ve made lol. But anyway, how has it been up there for yo ..read more

Who Will Walk Me Down the Aisle?

As I gaze out the window overlooking a beautiful meadow, I'm glistening from ear to ear. I'm glowing. It could be my highlight from my makeup or just the thought of the day ahead. Gathered around me is my beautiful bridal party. They are praying over me and for my future. My mother then helps me step into this astonishing white gown. A train so long, I can't imagine how long it will take to get it down the aisle. As she zips me up, she looks me in my eyes and says "I'm proud of you." I feel just like a princess. I feel like I'm on top of the world. I feel so loved. As we are finishing up the s ..read more

This past year has been a complete test of my faith to the fullest ..read more

“Happy Holidays” and “Merry Christmas” are what we find ourselves shouting with cheer as we’ve entered into the most wonderful time of the year! I can't help but wonder, by who’s standards makes this the most wonderful time of the year? I used to believe this was true. Christmas has always been my favorite celebration. I found myself feeling like nothing could go wrong around the holidays. With the holidays bringing much hopefulness, usually, puts you in a consistently pleasant mood. Well, for me, it used to. Though now, I try to make myself believe this is still the case. However, in reality ..read more

When grief hits, it hits you like a ton of bricks! It can strike at any time, anywhere, and around anybody. When sadness engulfs your body, you have no way of holding back. There have been times when I am driving, and grief decides to creep up on me and BOOM I'm crying my eyes out (which isn't safe by the way).
