 Ingredients 1/2 cup urad dal 1/2 cup channa dal  6-10 red chilies 1 teaspoon salt/enough salt  A pinch of asafoetida Preparations  In a frying pan, combine urad dal, channa dal, red chilies. Fry until light brown. Keep stirring continuously. Transfer to a plate and allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes. Grind in a coffee blender/blender until to a fine powder/coarse.  Transfer to a plate.
