Bryson DeChambeau: Finds His Footing at Augusta Thirteen LIV players teed it up at Augusta last week for The Masters, eight made the cut, and 3 finished in the Top 10. Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Smith both finished at 2 under (T6) while Tyrell Hatton came in at even par (T9). The big story at the 2024 Masterswas the weather, where extremely high winds wreaked havoc with scoring as only eight players finished under par (as compared with twenty-five players under par in 23’). After storming out of the gate with an opening round 65, Bryson followed up with three mediocre rounds of 73-75-73—ma ..read more

Scottie Scheffler: Current Number 1 Player in The World With Jon Rahm off to LIV and Rory’s game on sabbatical, Scottie Scheffler has become Chairman of the Board at PGA Tour Enterprises (the new “for profit” entity engineered by PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan to counter the Saudi-backed start-up league.) To say Scottie is off to a hot start in 2024 is a massive understatement. Scheffler has made the cut in all 7 of the events he’s entered with 6 Top-10’s and 2 wins—including back-to-back at Bay Hill and The Players. The only tournament where Scottie finished outside the Top 10 was at the ..read more

Drive for Show?

Every golfer has heard the saying “drive for show, putt for dough,” but you’ll find that’s pretty far from the truth once you’ve logged a round or two. Think about your best days on the course. Let’s Stamp out slow play!!

As every golfer has experienced now and again, standing around on the tee box while waiting to hit is absolutely no fun. It’s particularly galling when you have a good round going and suddenly hit a wall, losing your rhythm and gradually stiffening up like a board (especially if you’re a little older like me). And I can’t count the number of course reviews I’ve read saying “great track, but the round took forever so it turned out to be a lousy day,” and suddenly a 4-star review turns into 2 or 3. Often the review will bemoan a lack of a marshals on the course, but should we really need cours ..read more
