Bring It On The Musical, starring Amber Davies and Olympian Louis Smith, was meant to spend Christmas at London's Southbank Centre as part of a UK-wide tour. It has now been postponed until 2021, along with four other Selladoor musicals. Selladoor Worldwide has announced that it will suspend its 2020 touring productions – shifting the majority of shows to start in 2021. Major productions including Footloose, We Will Rock You, Madagascar the Musical, 9 to 5 the Musical and Bring It On will be postponed as a result of Covid-19. UPDATED 22 June 2020: The Sound of Music returns to The Shows Must Go On for 48 hours from 7pm on Friday 26 June 2020. From 8pm that night, the Rodgers and Hammerstein organisation, teaming up with Time Out London and Time Out New York will host a live watch party on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #SoundOfMusic. The Open Air Theatre has announced its third musical cancellation this year. Carousel follows news about 101 Dalmatians and its transfer of Evita to the Barbican, along with the postponement of its entire summer season until 2021.
