Facetheory muslin cloths review
This post may contain affiliate links. See my disclaimer for more info.
I’ve been using Facetheory muslin cloths for around 4 years, so it’s only taken me a short while to review them…
Here’s a link if you want to skip to the facetheory product page, as I know a lot of you do.
I have around 15 of these cloths and have bought extras for my teens as they love them too. We use them to wash our face in the mornings and evenings, and also to take make-up cleanser off (we use cleansing balms like Elemis cleansing balm and The Body Shop cleansing butter (more ec ..read more

Lineage lip mask dupe – w7
This post may contain affiliate links. See my disclaimer for more info.
I’ve been using this lip balm (or sleeping mask) from w7 that’s a really good dupe for the Laneige lip sleeping mask. I’ve been using it for a few months now, so I feel I can give it a fair and just review.
w7 is a British brand at the lower end of price points; everything they produce is also vegan and cruelty-free.
What the brand says
“Aloe vera and grape seed oil to moisturise and nourish dry & chapped lips. Hydrates for a full irresistible look. The perfect lip care partner for yo ..read more

Absolute Collagen review
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I tried an Absolute Collagen review (original flavour) just before Christmas 2020 but couldn’t get on with the taste. Well, lo and behold, the team at Absolute collagen recently launched a flavoured range and I got a delivery of the raspberry flavour last month!
Absolute Collagen was not a brand I’d come across before the latter half of 2020 but with some users of the brand reporting visible improvements to their skin and improvements to hair and scalp condition, I was very interested to find out what the supplements ..read more

Body Shop British Rose Face Mask review
This post may contain affiliate links. See my disclaimer for more info.
I’ve had this jar of Body Shop British Rose face mask in my bathroom cupboard for a while so I decided to start giving it a go after Christmas this year so it didn’t go off before I could try it!
The marketing spiel about this face mask promises to quench your skin and give a youthful, dewy glow after use. I’ve mainly used this when having a bath so the results may have been skewed with my plumped pink face from the heat and moisture, so I’ve also tried it a few times after a ..read more

My Moroccanoil haircare favourites
I get asked a lot what I use on my hair (both my own hair and my LA weave) so I thought I’d do a round-up of what my favourites are at the moment. I’ve given the links and prices towards the bottom of this blog post in case you want to find out more or try the products for yourself.
A firm favourite for washing my hair is Moroccanoil Repair shampoo and conditioner. I’ve used a few of their hair care products over the years (the oil being my favourite) but I didn’t actually try this duo until 2020. After trying it the first time, it was a game-changer for ..read more

Working from home
I’m always being asked how I manage to work from home without a) murdering anyone, and b) becoming a social recluse. To be fair, I’m a bit of a hermit anyway, although I’m sure friends from my youth would disagree! I believe that we ‘grow’ into our personalities over time, and being middle-aged for me means I’m confident enough to allow my personality to become more fluid. Anyway, I digress (how’d that happen?). What I want to say is that you can work from home effectively (and without murdering anyone), with a little planning.

Milk & Blush Hair Extensions Review
I’ve been meaning to do a Milk & Blush hair extensions review for a while. I bought their Blue silicon hair extensions smoother a few years ago but wasn’t really into clip-in hair at the time so didn’t really give the brand much thought – you’ll be pleased to know that my hair (and extensions) is pretty much silicone-free these days.
While I’m still into my LA weave, during the great COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, I obviously couldn’t see my hair technician so I plumped for a set of clip-ins to tide me over.
What the brand says
