ONE YEAR, A WIFE!
Kendy Speaks

Hey there! Today makes it exactly one year since I officially became a wife. In the past few months, I’ve seen myself live the ‘Proverbs 31’ kind of life, and I have learnt some real-life lessons. Being the Proverbs 31 kind of woman is not easy. It comes with a lot of responsibility, but by God’s grace, I can testify and say that I made it through one year, and I have forever to go. As usual, I’m not going to finish this without expressing my gratitude to God for his goodness all through the past 12 months of my marriage. To the glory of God, my husband and I have lived debt free and content l ..read more

The Gift of Children
Kendy Speaks
by Kendra Omo
11M ago
Have you ever received a gift? How did you feel? I love gifts, no matter how little they may be. I see gifts as an expression of love and care, and that is why I adore them so much. It’s been said that children are gifts. But have you ever stopped to wonder why God refers to them as gifts? There is a bible verse that backs this statement and I’m going to quote it. Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward. Psalms 127:3 TPT God loves us dearly and as such he has done many things for us.  God knows how to express his love in many ways and this is just one of them. If ..read more

Hello! Do you know that I’m married to my God-given gift? This is our love story. Before I begin, allow me to start with this. We naturally go through a process. It is the process that builds men. But in all, certain relationships should be maintained through the building process and certain relationships ought to end through the same process. This is the story of how The K’Dees met, grew in love and got married. It is told from my point of view and his point of view. This is not a fairytale but it is a life story with important lessons to learn. Long post alert! Sit back and relax because thi ..read more

While I was in camp, I belonged to platoon five. The experience was a beautiful one. I enjoyed every moment of it. From Man O’ War drills to kitchen and sanitation duties, to inter-platoon drills and then the in-house platoon fun moments. Follow me as I talk you through my platoon 5 experience. CHAPTER FOUR – CAMP LIFE 3 (Platoon five) One thing about NYSC is that during the camp registration, every registered prospective corp member is given a registration number. The number usually has four digits. The last number represents the group (platoon) to which that person would belong to. For exa ..read more

My journey from Sokoto State to camp was an interesting one. I’m ready to share my story with you and the lessons that I learnt from them. If you missed out on the previous chapter, read it here. CHAPTER TWO – CAMP LIFE 2 (Adaptation) “Attention!” “At ease!” “Attention! Eyes forward! Keep your chest and shoulder high. No side distractions, no shaking, be focused!” The parade commander shouted as he inspected the new corp members on the field. Keeping up with his instructions was easy for me. I’ve always participated in march-past parade during inter-house sports when I was in secondary schoo ..read more

Being a Corp member, popularly known as “Corper’ opens a person up to so many opportunities but sometimes, we don’t value those opportunities. If you missed out on chapter one, read it here. CHAPTER TWO – CAMP LIFE 1 As Fortunate, Gino and I arrived at camp, we went from one search party to the other. The first set of soldiers we had to pass through searched our bags. 5 LESSONS TO LEARN FROM CHILDREN
Kendy Speaks
by Kendra Omo

Children are a gift from God. We ought to treat them well. They may be little but we could learn a few things from them. I have listed five lessons in this post. I hope you learn from them. 1. BE SIMPLE Children live very simple lives, compared to adults. Sometimes the responsibility and bills can complicate things a lot but there should be an opening for simplicity. 2. FORGIVE EASILY Little children hold no grudge. I have a nephew. He often annoys me and I’ll spank him a  little bit. Of course, he will cry but within a few minutes, he comes back to hug me as though I didn’t do anything ..read more

THE CROSS
Kendy Speaks
by Kendra Omo

There is no shadow he won’t light up coming after us all. That’s the extent of Jesus’ love for us. THE CROSS! The Cross is a place of refuge. A place of forgiveness. A place of fulfilment. A place of salvation. A place that is full of love. The summary of it all is that the CROSS signifies Jesus’ love for us. Despite the betrayal, pain, and frustrations he went through, he still picked up that cross and carried it on his shoulders as his accusers spat on him. Such humiliation! Yet, he continued, just for my sake. Just for our sake. He formed the bedrock of Christianity; the CROSS. How great is ..read more
