El Roi.  God sees what you have overcome and dealing with still.  He loves you.   Psalm 56:8, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (NLT)   Proverbs 15:3, “The LORD is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good.” (NLT)   After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west.15 I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.16 And I will ..read more

Don't Cuss (episode 331)

Exodus 20:7 speaks about cursing God. (Don't do it) But what about our language to everyone else?     7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. We honor God’s name (v. 7). The command to not take God’s name in vain is more than simply a prohibition of cursing Him.  Profanity not only reflects a heart darkened with hate, but it shows an utter disrespect for a holy God. The commandment also means that we are not to take God’s name and talk in a way that dishonors us as His reps.  Death an ..read more

Exodus 20: 3-6 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.   Watch out there now.   Love you, &n ..read more

“There's no normal life Wyatt, It's just life. Get on with it.”  ― Val Kilmer as "Doc" Holliday   To give them hope, dig them out of a funk or to help them heal from some shame or regret they may be experiencing. You cannot ever judge someones journey and experiences against another's for no two are exactly the same from conception to death. So stop looking to the next guy to gauge what you have or where you are in life because you can't compare the two as they are not the same things. There is no normal life, there's just life.    the Bible reminds us that all life ..read more

Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   3. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.    Don’t let anyone—fellow believers, the enemy or even your own mind—convince you that you have weak or nonexistent faith. That’s a lie that, if you believe it, will k ..read more

Key Verse: “He gives power to the faint and strengthens the powerless.” (Isaiah 40:29) Context: The 40th chapter of Isaiah addresses the dire situation of God’s people during the Babylonian exile. It speaks of God’s comfort, forgiveness, and liberation for those held captive. The focus is on God’s transcendent nature and enduring love. Aims: Reflect on God’s bigness and ability. Consider God’s love and understanding of our troubles. Understand how waiting on the Lord renews our strength. Do You Mind Waiting
Speak Life Church

Phillipians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.   Waiting on the Lord brings God’s blessings: “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4; see also 1 Corinthians 1:7).   Sometimes we might feel as though the Lord does not see or hear us—that He’s not answering our prayers. During these moments, we can put our complete faith and trust in the living God. We can wait on the Lord in eager anticipation, kn ..read more
