Once upon a time, there was an intelligent, tall, chocolate, handsome man, with well to do relatives. Many glamorous town girls wanted to marry him. His relatives introduced a lot of their friends to him. But Physique was nothing to him. He ended up meeting and marrying a young village girl, who was not as polished as the ladies introduced to him. He saw the Christian values, the natural beauty and the potential of the girl, and knew that both of them could have a successful family life. He was right. They raised an enviable family. Do we always have to choose what appeals to the eyes? Genesis ..read more

In the village, children born in not-so-perfect families almost had their lives cut out. It was like a sentence passed on a life before a child is even born. The story of Joseph, son of Jacob, and his brother Judah, is one such story. Joseph, was sold to Egypt, put in prison, employed by Pontifar, put back in prison, then appointed prime minister of Egypt. God used used him to bring salvation to the children of Israel. He was faithful to God all the time. (Genesis 35 onwards) Judah on the other hand, led the team that sold Joseph to Egypt. He later moved away and married a canaanite, Shuas da ..read more

Our life these days is full of juicy drama. Right from the office, social media, neighborhood, schools. Our personal life too is extremely eventful. There is always something brewing! Are We The First? In the book of Esther, it took the enslaving of Mordecai, the disobedience of queen Vashti, to have Esther in the palace. While there , for 12 months, the bible says she went thorough cosmetic treatment, food rations, to prepare her for her position as queen. All this while, Esther did not fully understand the purpose for the events happening in her life. Esther 4:5 Then Esther called for Hatha ..read more

Spirit Of God Is Bringing Light to Darkness as Of Old

There is alot of fear of the unknown in recent days. Fear is the biggest attack on our lives today as we have seen people get sick, and others die. Some too close. Some are fighting for their lives right now, and the world has never been darker. We were meditating on the current situation, and realised that this is not a new thing. In the beginning of creation, the world was without form, and darkness covered it. Genesis 1:1‭-‬2 In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over ..read more

The other day, I listened to a testimony from a lady who was addicted to chain smoking. She had smoked from the time she was a teenager. She was now grown up. But she couldn't stop. She wanted to. So she decided to appeal to mother Mary for help. 24 hours before her feast day, she did a 24 hour fast from the cigarette. She was praying and looking at the clock for the time to pass. After 24 hours, she immediately put her cigarette in her mouth. She couldn't stand the taste. She changed to another, she couldn't stand the taste. Then she realized she had been delivered. She is now free of cigare ..read more

John 18:28 Then they took Jesus from Caiaphas to Pilate's headquarters. It was early in the morning. They themselves did not enter the headquarters, so as to avoid ritual defilement and to be able to eat the Passover. Almost all of us view all those who tortured Jesus with disgust. We find it obvious that they were lost and even evil people. That is probably why no parent named their child Pontius Pilate. I however want to draw attention to the words of St John. He says that, these people who we view as "bad and evil", did not enter the headquarters, or the place where Jesus was to be questio ..read more

I decided to look again at the story of creation after a testimony I heard the other day. A man had seen a lame person when he was a teen. The lame person was from another tribe .  In his heart, he told himself that the man was lame because he was from that particular tribe. Later in life, after he got married, his first child was lame, the same way as that that man. Then he prayed to the Lord to heal His child. Then he remembered that thought that he had when he was younger. He cried to the Lord and repented.  After doing that for sometimes, his child's legs started healing. This s ..read more

Sometimes Life is hard. So, where do you turn for help? Where do you find encouragement in the hard times of life? To your family members, to your friends, to influential people in society? Remember sometimes none of these may work…But let us not get discouraged. There is someone who is always available to us.  With true love and affection, He will help us.  His name is JESUS.  He is Emmanuel, God with us.  He will give you more of a comfort than our best friends can give us.  The peace He gives, surpasses all our understanding.  His loving presence, that he offer ..read more

Is The Virgin Mary Too Holy For Me?

The feast of the immaculate heart of Mary this year was extra special. As I was meditating on my relationship with the Mother of Jesus, I realized that most of us are not as close to her as we would wish to be. We feel that Mary was too holy. Why? From all created beings, she was chosen by ABBA father to be His special daughter. She was chosen by the Jesus to be His mother. She was chosen by the Holyspirit to be His spouse. There has never been, and there will never be another woman like her. Also, Mary was a simple girl, possibly 16 years old. She heard the voice of an angel and believed and ..read more
