Noble Manners are highly valued in Islaam, and parents and teachers are responsible for teaching young children noble manners and good conduct. This cultivation and nurturing begins at a young age. Remember the old saying: "The tree must be bent while it is young."
However, nurturing and cultivating noble manners remains a continuous struggle and challenge for many of us. Many Muslim parents are looking for fun and entertaining ways to teach young children noble manners. Unfortunately, in this age of technology, many children are put ..read more

When I gave birth to my eldest daughter seventeen years ago, I suddenly felt an overwhelming responsibility. I needed to figure out how to nurture her best. We had already decided to homeschool her even before her birth, but I was not aware how the process of imparting knowledge and skills would take place at such an early age. I browsed through the blogs back then and found some help from others, but the information was minimal. A few beautiful sisters were sharing their nurturing journeys, and we had a small group of sisters from ar ..read more

“The eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord."
Indeed, from Allaah we come, and to Him we return. Allaah decreed that my mother would return to Him last month.
"O Allaah, forgive my mother, raise her rank among those who are guided, and take care of those she leaves behind her. Forgive us and her, O Lord of the worlds; expand her grave for her and illuminate it for her."
It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) that he said: “A deceased person will ..read more

I recently travelled to some places and noticed so many schools being opened, like supermarkets in every corner. Likewise, we see so many online schools sprouting to serve different communities. All this means there is a high demand for teachers. However, even though we have a large number of teachers graduating with degrees and qualifications, only a handful of teachers can effectively teach and produce results. Schools are looking for teachers who know the art of effective teaching in order to serve their communities. The truth is creative, innovative ..read more

Alhamdulillaah, I find it a blessing that Muslim children can take Islaamic Studies as an IGCSE subject to spend their learning time to learn their religion.
Having gone through the syllabus and the past papers, and my teaching experience, I like the fact that the exam is focused on applying the concepts, which is something we desire for our children in learning their dheen.
Therefore I would highly recommend aiming for Islamic Studies as a subject for IGCSE. Having prepared my own daughter for the Cambridge UK IGCSE Islamiyat which is t ..read more

Many of us understand that we want our growing children to live Islaam rather than just embracing it as an academic subject in school. Many of us struggle to nurture Islaam in our household, where our children are willing to discuss and dive deep into understanding their religion so they can be upright and firm when facing and tackling issues raised about their religion in school with their peers and in public.
The struggles include, regardless of the age of our children:
?Where to start?
?What resources to use?
?How to keep c ..read more
