Hi, I am pretty new to knife collecting. I just turned 50 years old. About a year ago, I had a table at a gun show selling misc. reloading equipment and a few guns. The table next to me was a custom knife maker. Well, I ended up trading for one of his knives. (Up 'till that time, I had 3 knives at home in my dresser-- combined value about 40.00.) Since then I hate to say how many knives I bought off ebay, but my feedback is about 185 and I think half of them are knives. I...

Do not buy anything made by Fox Knives they do not stand behind any of their products. Last year I bought a Black Fox Feresa for my sister and after a while the lock got stuck in the open position, so I contacted Fox for warranty service and was told to contact the dealer I bought it from (in this case BladeHQ). BladeHQ was unable to assist because Fox is located outside of the country, I contacted Fox again and was basically told tough luck, what kind of customer service is this. Do not buy...

Hello!
Does anyone know if Schrade/Old Timer would replace/refurbish the handle of my late brother's Schrade Old Timer 470T pocket knife? He had it for MANY years and it's a bit beat up ..read more

So on a random post on Instagram this week from EKnives, they off-handedly mentioned with their restock notification on unique Sebenzas that unique Sebenzas were going away, and when I asked about that, a commenter mentioned that the artist responsible, Lisa L’eveque-Hague, is retiring. Is there any validity to this rumor? And if so, why would CRK not bother to train/hire a replacement? Would they really just end that line of art knives ..read more

Is there a good periodical or source with approximately values of knives? I see some paid collectible valuation services online that are more than I would like to pay.
I can Google and see what stuff has sold for at auction, etc. But these prices can vary wildly. I realize that ultimately they are only worth what someone is willing to pay, but if I have some older items I want to sell I would like to check and see what a reasonable price to ask would be.
Any insight into how people value...

I've wanted a hard case for my expensive knives, but Pelican seems outrageously priced. Just found Kong Case from Battlebox. Bought the big Rampage box. Big upgrade from the various Knafs and Blade HQ tool rolls. I will definitely get a few more. Does anyone know where to get the foam inserts made for knives? The foam in the Kong is perforated, but I can see it being tedious and prone to tears. If anyone can point me towards some good foam, I'd be grateful. Thanks ..read more

I'm really conflicted on this purchase. I love the look of the design and all of the methods of deployment. The only holdup is the version I'm looking at which is the green carbon fiber with m390 blade comes in at a price that I could get some American made offerings instead. Basically it's the most I've ever paid for a Chinese made knife.
Vosteed gave me a raccoon and I have fallen in love with it. I believe if it's a representation of the quality this company has, I'm going to be happy...

[Post in General approve by Spark]
The very first hearing on one of our post-Bruen lawsuits challenging a knife ban on Second Amendment grounds was held yesterday before District Court Judge James E. Simmons, Jr., in San Diego. The lawsuit challenges California’s ban on switchblade (automatic) knives with a blade 2-inches and greater.
The court had clearly given significant thought to the voluminous filings in the case. The state continued to hammer their position that switchblades...
