I've been reloading for close to 15 years and go 100 percent by what the reloading manuals say. There is a lot I don't understand about burn rates, compressed loads, case capacity......etc, but by following the load data in the manuals, I have never had an issue. I came across something today that confused me. Any time I have loaded a particular caliber with a particular powder using two different sizes of bullets, the smaller bullet always called for more powder. For example, if I'm loading .45 colt with Unique powder using 200 grain and 250 grain bullets, the load data will show that more po ..read more

Hey TFL friends,
In the last little bit I’ve picked up my first metal frames; Walther Q5, Sig P226 Elite, Shadow 2, Shadow 2 SAO, and now a Tanfoglio Stock Master.
So…
When I picked up the Stock Master, the FFL store let slip that they all were playing with it. Guy said, “yeah we had a hard time opening the IFG box (it’s push in two tabs while moving up) but when we did, we all loved the feel and look….not that we played with it!”
That wasn’t mentioned for any gun I’ve picked up. It just looks good. The hard chrome is perfect. The wood grips look good with wood grain. The sights look smar ..read more

Keith here from South Florida! I'm a retired firefighter who loves C&R weapons. I fully support our veterans and volunteer for Honor Flight South Florida. Our group takes veterans of WWII, Korea and Vietnam to DC for a one-day free trip to visit the war memorials. I wrote a book entitled, "War Trophies: Weapons from Vietnam" and the proceeds after printing costs will be donated to the group.
Here are two reviews of my book for those interested:

My NF is 1964 vintage with the non removable cylinder bushing.
Gunsmith says he can fit it if I can find one.
Anyone know of any source. New or used is OK. Used only if not buggered up.
Thanks ..read more

I'm preparing for a long bicycle trip where I will be carrying all of my gear on my bicycle. I'll be passing through a couple of urban areas so I will want to have a firearms accessible.
Cycling clothing, especially in summer heat, is pretty minimalist so I don't see how I can carry on-body.
However my bike setup does have a decent sized back directly in front of me that is easy to open one-handed. I'm considering stashing a 9mm in that bag. Possibly mounting it with velcro.
I'm thinking of something like a pocket holster velcroed to one side of the bag. I'm also not sure what to do about b ..read more

Connecticut – Governor has signed File No. 841 which is the substitute for HB 6667. Effective date is October 1, 2023. Open Carry will be banned. There is a safe storage law and other changes. You can read the bill at https://www.cga.ct.gov/2023/FC/PDF/2...R000841-FC.PDF
Florida and Other Permitless Carry States – Come July 1 Florida will be a Permitless Carry State but they will also then honor all other states permits at that time. Want to add here that West Virginia, Maine and New Hampshire though Permitless Carry States they didn’t change their laws on honoring other states permits. It re ..read more

Yet another beauty barrel courtesy of Northland Shooter's Supply. I had barely hung up the phone from ordering when an e-mail notice was posted that it was on its way. Since I was never happy with my vanguard first light--decided to try and make a Savage in 300 wby mag.
