Eddie Howe has said he expects Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes to still be at Newcastle next season. The key duo continue to be linked with Premier League rivals ahead of the summer transfer window, with Isak reported to be on the radar of Arsenal as the Gunners seek a centre-forward.   Arsenal are also admirers of Guimaraes, alongside clubs including Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. Paris Saint-Germain will make a decision on the future of Xavi Simons before this summer’s European Championship. The nominees for the Premier League’s end-of-season awards have been announced, with shortlists for the Player, Young Player and Manager of the Season for 2023/24. While most of the shortlists were as expected, there were some obvious omissions from the final names in contention for the illustrious awards. The winner of the FWA Footballer of the Year has been announced with Phil Foden of Manchester City recognised as the Premier League’s finest footballer this season. Foden has claimed the prestigious prize and becomes the fifth Manchester City player to win the award in the Premier League era, after scoring 24 goals in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side.
