There doesn't seem to be one of these so I made one, even though it's unlikely I'll grow my hair natural since I hate the color but I'm sure others will use this. But if a thread already exists this can be merged to it ..read more

I stumbled upon a link to your community on Reddit by chance, and I was incredibly amazed. There are so many invaluable pieces of advice here. I was starting to feel like nothing works with my curly hair anymore... I was even considering going back to the hair salon and getting a pixie cut. But thanks to you, I'll make use of the care tips and won't take any risks ..read more

Hi! I'm Lyss :o
I decided to join this community because my goal for this year is to improve the condition of my hair and grow it out. Currently it's at waist length, but looking a bit neglected. For now I regularly use black box dye, although maybe i'd possibly like to go back to my natural brown colour. I can't wait to share my journey and learn more about hair care from other members ..read more

Hello,
My hair is waist length and fine. It is not damaged because I have never did heat styling or processing. I wash my hair w/good products every other day because I tend to have oily roots. However, the ends of my hair are dry and their ends are little not splited.
Does the rinse-out oil method help prevent split ends ..read more

Hi
One of my occasional visits, hope anybody who remembers me from the old days is well?
I'm taking a punt 'mane forum' is the place for this one..
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to visit Vienna with Mrs Merlin, and went to the Sisi Museum, which I cannot praise highly enough. It's a very well curated journey though the life of this very remarkable woman who was about just so much more than her hair! They also have all three of the Winterhalter Portraits of her, including THE one you see reproduced everywhere and which is just so much more amazing than any reproduction: I must hav ..read more

I'm trying to figure out something that I can tie tightly(ish) around the mass of my hair when it's full of dye (or any other treatment) and needs to stay piled on top of my head? Surely there's something that will hold all of that relatively well while you're getting on with your day?
I'm thinking about getting a long-sleeve men's shirt and figuring out some way of wrapping the pile of hair and then tying it all down with the arms. Ideas? Suggestions? What do you use ..read more

Hi
I have used henna for the past few months and I have lost a lot of my curl pattern. Instead of my usual 2b/c curls, I now have slightly wavy hair that is neither here nor there. I’ve tried scrunching and blow drying which helps but it is still not like it used to be (plus I am more of a wash and go kinda girl).
My henna mix is made up of over 1/3 amla anyway and I’ve already tried colour remover. I am running out of ideas and the thought of having to wait YEARS for it to grow out (not to mention all the greys and disastrous box dye attempts to match the henna) (I have hip length hair) is ..read more
