Philadelphia 76ers center Joe Embiid performed like a future NBA MVP, scoring 70 points during a 133-123 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Wells Fargo Center on Monday night.
Embiid established a new franchise single-game scoring record, snapping Wilt Chamberlain’s previous mark of 68 points. Leading the Eastern Conference’s No. 3-ranked squad, Embiid is averaging 36.1 points per game and 11.6 rebounds for the 76ers (29-13).

The San Antonio Spurs announced Victor Wembanyama will skip the California Classic in Sacramento, but will join the team in Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League.
The Spurs say No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama will not be traveling to Sacramento with the summer league team for two games but will join the team in Las Vegas. The Spurs’ first summer league game in Las Vegas will be July 7 against the Charlotte Hornets.

A lot of times during the NBA offseason, blockbuster trades can require more than two partners to get done for various reasons.
