Texas seniors Sam Ehlinger and Ta’Quon Graham both expressed support on Tuesday for two former teammates who recently left the Longhorns to chase their NFL dreams. Over the weekend, offensive lineman Samuel Cosmi announced that he was opting out of the remaining games on Texas’ schedule. Safety Caden Sterns made the same decision on Monday. For the second times in as many days, the Texas football team has lost a longtime starter and team captain. Junior safety Caden Sterns will opt out of the rest of UT’s season, a source confirmed to the American-Statesman on Monday. Tom Penders’ Longhorns are now Runnin’ straight into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. Penders, the Texas coach from 1988-98, is one of eight people being included into college basketball’s Hall of Fame Class of 2021.
