The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team secured the commitment of former Central Arkansas guard Camren Hunter in the transfer portal Sunday. Hunter was in Madison last week for a visit and he has now decided to become a Badger officially. Hunter sat out the 2023-2024 campaign due to a medical redshirt, but he averaged 16.9 points, 3.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the field in 2022-2023 with the Bears. The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team hosted EJ Walker, a three-star forward from Erlanger, Kentucky, this weekend. It was Walker’s first official visit to Wisconsin after a pair of unofficial trips to Madison in June and November of 2023. Walker is considered a top-150 recruit in the country and he narrowed his list of potential programs to 12 in March, which included Ohio State, Iowa, Purdue, Minnesota and Wisconsin within the Big Ten. Former Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Quintez Cephus and the Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement on a contract. Cephus missed the entirety of the 2023 NFL season serving a suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy. The wide receiver was caught gambling on NFL action and received a rather significant penalty as a result. He was reinstated by the league last week and will now look to turn over a new leaf in Buffalo. Bowden was Wisconsin’s primary long snapper for the last three seasons. The former four-star recruit from Illinois entered the portal on April 15 and he visited Dayton on Friday. Schutt didn’t appear in any games in Duke’s run to the Elite Eight in 2023-2024, redshirting the season after suffering a knee injury in the fall.
