I had radical prostatectomy (RP) 2015. PCa now returned to lymph node near tail bone. Is this classed as local or distant travel?   I read that stage 4 is generally not curable. That PCa spreading from prostate to node is stage 4. I am told my spread 8 years after RP to node near tail bone is "T3A recurrence in node (3+4 = 7)" and not stage 4, incurable. I will complete my 28th radiation to the upper pelvic area tomorrow and am midway through first 3 months of Zoladex 10.8 mg implant. Next is scheduled for 7th June and planned as the last. They say I will learn in about  6 months how ..read more

My father has stage 4 bladder cancer and is currently receiving  anti–PD-1 antibody  treatment. Since he started taking the first medicine his LDH level has been rising continuously and after taking the 3rd medicine it was 1250. I'm reading from articles that significantly correlated with worse survival. Is there anyone who can help with this situation? Is it really correlated ..read more

Greetings Friends, I had a HGT1 tumor (3.5 x 3 cm, I think a small one on the other side of that as well but not documented)) resected on February 12 2021, I just was cleared by a cysto after having 24 BCG treatments. I'm ambivalent if I should continue BCG treatments, only 3 more to go to finish the SWOG protocol. For the most part I've tolerated BCG, even though I must rush and drive more than 2 hours from the clinic to arrive to my home. to void. The nurse who would administer the BCG to me is rather new and I have never seen her before. I have had 5 different nurses do this procedure for m ..read more

My husband was diagnosed with Metastatic Lung Cancer, the cancer has spread to his liver and adrenal glands, this is slightly more difficult as he is also battling newly diagnosed Cushings Syndrome.  He commenced chemotherapy and immunotherapy almost two weeks ago. Since then, he has only been able to get out of bed for very short amounts of time to have his medication and minimal oral intake. He is very fatigued and does not feel like eating or drinking.  I try everything to encourage him to eat and drink, and would appreciate any advice, as it may be something that I hadn't thought ..read more

So after 8 years of aggressive high grade Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), chemo, 7 surgeries (I can remember) loss of multiple organs, the one that’s gonna get me is benign and I’m no longer operable….as it slowly closes my stomach I hear it gurgle away like it’s taunting me….I really wished I hadn’t asked and walked out thinking it was aggressive like they’ve all been….benign…who’d have thought…oh the irony, I so wished I hadn’t asked cause it makes no sense, this damn disease makes no sense  ..read more

Hi, im new to the group. I’m 61 years old. yesterday my dearest father was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, he’s 89 years young. I’ve been living with him and my mother  for almost 4 years in a caring capacity even though they are very good for their ages and are very self sufficient. The only problems they had were usual age related things but my mum had more than dad, well so we thought, yesterday I had a train driven through my world. my dad, who’s always been my world, my hero, was given the horrific news, life will never be the same. The strange thing, and only good thing, is, he s ..read more
