The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) in the Western Region has announced a disruption in water supply affecting the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. A statement issued by GWCL on Thursday, April 25, said the interruption is due to a power outage at the Inchaban and Daboase Water Treatment Plants. GWL clarified that the interruption is a direct consequence of the power outage, which has affected the plants’ ability to treat and supply water to the affected areas. Google has been accused of taking advantage of its market dominance to make it harder to search for a rival email service. Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction in New York has been overturned, on the basis that he did not receive a fair trial. The New York Court of Appeals said prosecutors in the pivotal #MeToo case called witnesses whose accusations were not part of the charges against him.
