Fans of the evolutionary doctrine have no idea how animal ape communication could have evolved into sophisticated human language. To avoid talking about the subject, they say that the specialty of "them" (who knows who is "them" and who is not "them") has nothing to do with the intellectual development of humans. So "the science of evolution", so often mentioned by them, seems to be a ridiculous figment of these fans' imaginations. It is evident from the point of view of...

Humza Yousaf's 'chilling' hate crime to continue as MSPs vote against axing it
The Scottish Tories urged fellow MSPs to call for the hate crime act to be axed as it has transformed Scotland into 'a place of sinister police billboards instructing people to snitch on those who hurt their feelings, where contentious discussions and disagreements in your home can result in a...

I realize that this topic has been addressed here and there in many threads. I'd like to collect into one clearly labeled thread. Let's list all the arguments and evidence against the flood. They can include, for example, geological evidence, or internal problems with the Genesis account.
I'll start.
If there had been a global flood, there would be a single layer of silt extending all around the world. No such layer of silt exists ..read more

Why did God evict Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden? Christian dogma holds that God kicked them out because they violated his directive not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But that’s not the whole story. Here’s what the Bible actually says:
Then the LORD God said, “See, the humans have become like one of us, knowing good and evil, and now they might reach out their hands and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever”-- therefore the LORD...

I would think most of us have been asked at different places if we wanted to "round our change up" for this or that charity.
Well twice this week, at different places I have had purchases that came to even dollar amounts. One was $51 and the other was $62. Both times I was asked if I wanted to round my dollars up.
When did it graduate from rounding up change to now rounding up dollars ..read more

Will Arizona lawmakers repeal controversial 1864 abortion ban? What to know
Arizona lawmakers are reconvening on Wednesday could soon vote on legislation to repeal a controversial 1864 abortion ban on almost all abortions in the state

This is Wednesday April 17 and I am posting this around 2:45 pm where I am. As far as I know the Arizona State House has not voted on this yet.
But this is what I think people should understand.
If they repeal this law it will be good for Republican politically.
If they repeal this law it will increase the probability that Trump will win A ..read more

"Gender Identity" (air quotes deliberate), is clearly a hot topic these days. And it's clear from many debates here on RF that there is a lot of confusion concerning how sex and gender relate to each other as concepts.
The following four (short) videos analyze how Washington state, Oregon, California, and Colorado define "gender identity" in their statutes.
As a summary, they don't really define it at all. They throw words at the problem, but in the end, no definition is forthcoming, at...

NOTE: To avoid misunderstandings, I think I should say that I am not a Christian and I don't believe in any Christian doctrines about salvation and the Triniity.
I'm posting this in a debate forum not because I want to debate about it, but because I don't want to try to stop people from debating about it if they want to.
Sometimes when the Bible says "God," it means the Father and sometimes it means Jesus. Maybe also sometimes it means the Holy Spirit and sometimes it means all three of...
