This season Scottish Curling welcomed the first cohort of the new look Future Leaders programme. With the programme now complete for the season, we look back at a jam-packed schedule.
In October 2023, applications opened for those aged 14-18 years old’s who were interested in developing their leadership skills and play a part in shaping the future of curling in Scotland.

Many congratulations to Islay McKenzie and Sam McConnachie (Dewars. Perth) who came out top at the 2024 Scottish Junior Mixed Doubles Championship. They beat Cara Thomson and Arran Thomson (Dewars, Perth) in the final to lift the trophy.
Both eventual finalists competed in Section A. While Thomson/Thomson won their first three games, McKenzie/McConnachie made it two successive wins before losing out to Tia Laurie and Jack Halliday (Dumfries). They bounced back in the next draw versus Thomson/Thomson though and with both sides winning their final section fixtures, they progressed on four in on ..read more

The Scottish Curling Academy is inviting applications for both athletes and coaches for season 2024-25. Applications are open from Friday 29 March to Friday 12 April at 5pm.
The Academy this season will be an Under 21-based programme. Junior curlers are encouraged to submit an application by filling out the form here.
The selection policy for season 2024-25 is available alongside the application form.
