Many congratulations to Islay McKenzie and Sam McConnachie (Dewars. Perth) who came out top at the 2024 Scottish Junior Mixed Doubles Championship. They beat Cara Thomson and Arran Thomson (Dewars, Perth) in the final to lift the trophy. Both eventual finalists competed in Section A. While Thomson/Thomson won their first three games, McKenzie/McConnachie made it two successive wins before losing out to Tia Laurie and Jack Halliday (Dumfries). The Scottish Curling Academy is inviting applications for both athletes and coaches for season 2024-25. Applications are open from Friday 29 March to Friday 12 April at 5pm. The Academy this season will be an Under 21-based programme. Junior curlers are encouraged to submit an application by filling out the form here.
