March saw curl Aberdeen host a lot of competitions. The Scottish Schools was competed for at Aberdeen with 16 teams, 2 local, competing for the title.  Stewarton Academy, came out on top and won the National Title. They beat Perth Academy in the Final.     The last Competition we held before Lockdown was the Aberdeen International. This was the first time running the event since. We welcomed a host of nations that were going to be playing at the World Mens Championship in Las Vegas, including Olympic Gold Medalist of the Italian Mixed Doubles team. Curl Aberdeen had a busy social weekend this past Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Friday we finally held the reunion of the Canadian Outgoing Tour (Initially was supposed to be Season 19/20). Around 40 of the tourists came together and for lunch and morning class before heading out to the ice to play their matches.  Followed on by an evening of food and drinks at the Club.     Saturday saw the Ugie Bonspiel take place where 8 teams competed in this social bonspiel organised by themselves, where a few clubs from outwith Curl Aberdeen came and played.   Sunday,  we held the A ..read more

Curl Aberdeen were proud to host again the Scottish Junior Championships. This year saw the event have to contend with Storm Arwen, luckily Curl Aberdeen wasn’t affected with any power issues and Curling still happened.  Team Craik (Forfar) and Team Henderson (Dumfries) came out as National Champions and go on to represent Scotland at the Worlds later, Boys in the A, Girls in the B divisions.   ..read more
