Here’s some information about the upcoming fall season: Learn-to-Curl Sessions The club is offering two Learn-to-Curl sessions in the first half of October. Curlers with five years or less of curling experience have even more to look forward to this season.  The first official USA Curling Five-and-Under National Championship (5U) will be held at the new Southern California Curling Center in Los Angeles on May 12-15, 2022.   The field at this event will consist of 24 teams. We have some very exciting news to announce.  An FLCC team competed at the “Spooky Spiel “Bonspiel in Utica Oct. 30/31/21 and won the D event!  This is the first all FLCC team (all of whom started curling in Ithaca) to win at a Bonspiel!  What a huge accomplishment!!    Congregations to Jeff Tonole, Sarah Mogil, Travis Stearns, and Michelle Mogil!! Day Curling – We now offer curling Tuesdays from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Day curling consists of a pick-up game or as practice time on the ice. No long-term commitment required — just drop in whenever you can, even if only for a long lunch hour.   Members who have attended have said that 45 minutes of throwing rocks has really helped their delivery.  In a game you only throw 16 rocks, in 45 minutes of practice you can throw 30 or more.  We will be starting this coming Tuesday, 11/09.  Cost is $20 payable to the rink ..read more
