Can the Texans Pull Off Some Upsets Against Some of the Best in the NFL in 2021?

2020 couldn’t have been a bigger disaster for the Texans, who had a quarterback who wanted out and wasn’t shy talking about it, and a coaching staff that was outmatched and eventually fired by the front office. The team spent much of the later half of the season looking as to who would be a fit for the team (deciding on Ravens WR coach David Culley as head coach), and also watching as teams just outplayed them. While there’s a number of great matchups on the Texans slate in 2021, including divisional games vs the Colts, Titans and Jags, the team also has a number of great games, home and away ..read more

2020 couldn’t have been more of a disaster for the Houston Texans, who went 4-12, third place in the AFC South. The team had in-fighting, they had a franchise quarterback tell them that he wanted out, and the team eventually fired its head coach. The team didn’t win its first game till October 11th, and by then the 2020 season was more or less of a lost cause for the franchise. The club has already revamped a lot of its roster this offseason, but it might be too little, too late for them to be a contender in 2021. Wednesday evening the Texans 2021 slate of games was released, and you can chec ..read more

Deshaun Watson is still being quiet when it comes to talking to the Texans franchise, but that doesn’t mean he’s not letting people in his camp onto where he wants to play in 2021. Watson has reportedly let on about three places he would be willing to play for next season and beyond, and now it’ll be up to Houston to wait on a call from these teams to see if there’s a serious connection to making a trade. The three teams which were tweeted out Monday via ESPN Upstate are the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Carolina Panthers. Reportedly Watson didn’t have interest in going to New York to pla ..read more

Texans Rumors: WR Will Fuller Expected To Bail via Free Agency This Offseason

The Texans may be on the verge of losing another playmaker this offseason (as if losing Deshaun Watson isn’t enough), as reports say wide out Will Fuller may take his talents elsewhere via free agency. Fuller who played his college ball at Notre Dame has been a staple in the Texans receiving core the last few seasons, but it looks like at the very least he’ll test the free agency market. One thing the Texans can do to keep Fuller around is place the franchise tag on him, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Fuller declare he’s sitting out until he gets more than a one-year deal. In yet another move by the Texans sending shockwaves around the NFL, the team is reportedly set to release longtime popular defensive end J.J. Watt, this according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport. The rumors of the team dumping Watt have been on the table for awhile, but it still comes as a surprise that the team would just flat out get rid of Watt. The 31-year-old has spent the last 10 seasons with the Texans after being drafted by them back in the 2011 season with the 11th overall pick in the first round. Watt was due to earn $17.5 million in 2021, which is last year of his deal with H ..read more

One ESPN Analyst Says Houston Should Deal Deshaun Watson to the Cowboys for Dak Prescott

The Texans are still maintaining that they want to keep unhappy quarterback Deshaun Watson on their roster for many years to come, despite Watson’s apparent desire to move on elsewhere. The asking price from the Texans is a lot, as it includes multiple first-round picks. No on though has discussed a possible deal if there’s another young solid QB out there that wants to move on to another team. The team in question is the Dallas Cowboys, who have a tough offseason decision to make when it comes to franchise QB Dak Prescott, who played 2020 under the franchise tag for about $30 and could do it ..read more

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson remains in the news on a daily basis, and now fans that want to keep him are looking to march in his honor. Reports say that fans of the franchise quarterback were putting a march together Monday, but the quarterback tweeted Monday that he would like the event to be cancelled. Watson said that while humbled, he doesn’t want to put people at risk exposing themselves to the COVID-19 virus, and he wants the event nixed. “I’m hearing there is a march planned on my behalf in Houston today,” Watson tweeted. “Although I am humbled I ask that whoever is organizing th ..read more

The Texans continue to be on the lookout for possible head coaching candidates, and one name that reportedly won’t be visiting the team is that of Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that Eberflus has turned down an offer to come to Houston to chat with the Texans brass about the head coaching spot. The 50-year-old from Toledo, Ohio has been with the Colts as their DC since 2018, and this is the first year his name has been brought up as a hot head coaching candidate. Texans QB Watson Not Pleased Team Hasn’t Interviewed Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy

The Texans said from day one that the team wanted franchise quarterback DeShaun Watson to be part of their talks in who would be brought in next to be the team’s head coach. It sounds like the team isn’t following through with their promises, and it’s not sitting well with the quarterback. One candidate who is at the top of just about every team’s list is that of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, and while the Texans have spoken to three potential coaching candidates, Bieniemy isn’t one of them. And it’s not sitting well with the Texans quarterback. Watson not only has b ..read more

The Texans may have a serious issue on their hands according to a report Thursday from Pro Football Talk, which says that quarterback DeShaun Watson may be looking for a deal to get out of Houston. Houston has tried to do what they can to give Watson everything they can to make him happy, including giving him a contract worth $111 million in guarantees. The quarterback also will be part of the crew that decides on who the next coach of the franchise is. How could that not be enough?
