Commanders
Tony Pauline reports that the Commanders were looking to trade back in round 1 for Arizona OT Jordan Morgan.
Washington reportedly called teams in the mid-to-late 20s about potential trades in the hopes of securing Morgan.
Pauline says speculation is that Washington was attempting to move up with the Lions at No. 29. However, Detroit wound up moving up in front of Green Bay, who opted to take Morgan.
According to Tony Pauline, the Commanders are worth watching for Georgia WR Ladd McConkey in round two.

Lions
Once CB Terrion Arnold started sliding past his expected draft status, the Lions felt they had to make a move to trade up and get him. Detroit GM Brad Holmes is enamored with the pick and went through the process to move up.
“It wasn’t a whole lot of trade backs that early just because it kind of fell, I think well for a lot of people,” Holmes said, via Jeff Risdon of the Lions Wire. “So, I’m still a little kind of – never thought he would be there, but we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
“We had a pretty, let’s call it ‘significant’ line underneath him to the next guy in our opinion. It wasn ..read more

Bears
According to Todd McShay, the Bears could look to trade back from pick number nine to recover picks.
If they stay at nine, McShay feels they will take either Texas DT Byron Murphy II or the best available non-quarterback offensive player.
The “only caveat” per McShay is if Washington WR Rome Odunze or LSU WR Malik Nabers falls, the Bears will have an interest.

Bears
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports that sources around the league believe the Bears will either take a pass rusher or receiver at No. 9 overall.
According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the Bears are expected to take Georgia TE Brock Bowers if he falls to them at No. 9 overall and there’s a “real possibility” that a team in the middle of the first round trades in front of Chicago or the Jets at No. 10 in order to draft him.
Pauline could see a team trading with the Titans at No. 7, Falcons at No. 8, or even the Bears being an option.

Bears
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer says other teams have gotten the sense the Bears would like to move down from No. 9 and add more picks, with just four total selections and two outside the first round.
If they stick and pick, Breer lists one of the top three receivers, an offensive tackle or Texas DT Byron Murphy II as options for Chicago.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has heard a lot of buzz recently about Murphy as a top-ten pick, perhaps even the first defender off the board.
