I don't have much information about the course, other than that she is studying AI. She requires a laptop and not a desktop. I believe a good graphics card is essential. Budget is around 80k max. Open to buy online. No specific brand preference. Should be reliable and last at least 4 years. Please suggest ..read more

I don't know if this question belongs in this section, but here goes: I want to revive an old laptop - a 15-year-old Samsung RV509 - for use by someone who doesn't need a fast modern model. It still works fine except that the battery's quite dead of course. Can anyone recommend a brand of after-market laptop batteries, preferably one that has earned a good reputation ..read more

Hi I want to buy a laptop for college alongside building a gaming pc at home hence no need for a dgpu in the laptop itself: I'm willing to wait till july-August (if AMDs 8th gen CPUs become more mainstream in laptops) Usecase is coding, media consumption and light gaming (minecraft, f1). budget: <58k (ideally 45-55) cpu: AMD only - r7 needed (HS preferred over U) gpu - none (AMD's iGPU) ram: 16gb non-soldered (1 slot can be soldered) - [I don't mind... Budget is flexible above 50k, but needs to be below 60-65k. My main use for it is going to be for coding, document work, watching videos and a lot of web browsing (need a lot of tabs open on edge), but I also want to be able to run modern games on it on lower settings, although I will mostly play Indie games (switch emulation would be a bonus but it might be unrealistic). The screen needs to be bright enough to view under light with color accuracy, anti-glare would also be good. Anything... Read more ..read more

Neither is battery back up critical. Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? Known brands preferable. Any other considerations? USB C charging would be great. IPS... No particular preference of weight, just don't want to compromise performance or longevity for sleek look or thinness Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? No such preference, any brand with good after sales service works Any other considerations? 16 GB ram minimum. Just want the most performant laptop I can... Read more ..read more
