What is your budget?
£2000. However, I would be delighted if I could get a great tool for my needs for a lot less.
What size laptop do you want? Does it need to be portable?
My usage profile is that it spends most of the time at home. When I travel it will be by car with short walks from where the car is parked to where I would use the laptop. I am a reasonably fit adult male.
Do you have resolution requirements?

Hi.
I'm looking at a laptop/Chromebook for my parents as their ancient laptop has packed up.
They're fairly competent with android and it's mainly for the odd bit of typing and to back their pictures up to. Only really an occasional use scenario really.
The CX34 plus is on offer at the moment and seems to have decent reviews for the price.
Just after some impressions of anyone has used one at all. Would they find the chrome os too much different to windows?

I'm using micro SD for LMS but I believe you can boot from USB as well. So choice is
Micro SD
USB Flash disc
USB to 2.5" SSD
Another possible option is the PCI-E to SSD? I'm aware of HAT device, but maybe in the future direct SATA connection is available ..read more
