Andrew Dockerill Mock Draft 2024 3.0: Joe Goodberry Big Board Special
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
1w ago
Our next mock is after the chaos of Free Agency and using Bengals super-drafter Joe Goodberry’s draft board, which appears on the Fansided mock draft simulator. Let’s see what it gives us. Words: Andrew Dockerill Johnny Newton has been my favorite DL study so far. Has an incredibly polished pass-rush arsenal that boasts a club/swim, club/rip, and a variety of well timed swipes and chops. He can win with power, quickness and pure violence. Has some big boy bend too! pic.twitter.com/QZPzUzoLpL — Brett Whitefield (@BGWhitefield) February 26, 2024 Round 1, Pick 18 Johnny (Jer’Zhan) Newton, DT ..read more

They could be something funny, ridiculous and/or poignant or moving. This is the third year we’ve opened the door to our pub – a virtual space called The Who Dey Arms – so get yourself a pint, a bag of dry roast and settle in… we’re about to reveal this year’s inductees. Words: Paul Hirons Ted Karras’s Cincy Hat Campaign Now, Ted is already in the Pub of Honour (thanks to his hilarious diatribe ..read more

EXCLUSIVE: Bengals UK reveals sneak peek at new locker rooms and facilities at Paycor Stadium
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
2w ago
Eyebrows were raised when the NFLPA end-of-season report revealed that some of the Cincinnati Bengals’ facilities at Paycor Stadium left a lot to be desired. Players from around the league were asked to provide anonymous feedback and grades on the facilities they use day in, day out. For the Bengals, areas like the family room, cafeteria and locker room did not score highly. Work is now underway at the stadium to make wholesale improvements. Thanks to architect and specialist stadium experience designer, A. Fool Ltd, Bengals UK can now reveal work-in-progress images from the locker room, cafet ..read more

Andrew Dockerill Mock Draft 2024 2.0: Post-Combine special
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
1M ago
Our next mock is purely comprised of those who showed out at the recent NFL Scouting Combine this past week. There was certainly a lot of choice for the Bengals at the top, with the early offensive line and cornerback prospects particularly showing out. But who did we go for? Words: Andrew Dockerill Fastest 40 by anyone at Combine with 33+ arm length and 30+ Bench reps (last 10 years) 1. Jared Verse (2024): 4.58 2. Myles Garrett (2017): 4.64 — Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks) March 1, 2024 Round 1, Pick 18: EDGE Jared Verse, Florida State Verse really cemented himself as a top-20 pick with ..read more

Cincinnati Bengals 2020 draft regraded
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
2M ago
I’ve been waiting for this one, and it feels like it’s come around quickly! Draft classes are always best reviewed after four years so here we are reviewing arguably the biggest one in the Bengals’ recent history. Words: Andrew Dockerill 1, 1: Joe Burrow, QB; LSU  Pre-Draft Prediction: First Overall Pick What we said in 2020: Was there any doubt? Joe Burrow is one of the most hyped QB prospects this decade and rightly so. The main quality of Burrow is his intangibles, his ability to read the play pre- and post-snap. He’s a tape junkie and a competition addict who doesn’t let the (ex ..read more

Cincinnati Bengals 2023 draft regraded
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
3M ago
Well, that was quick. The season is now over for the Cincinnati Bengals, and it was a season that played out like a rollercoaster ride – Burrow’s injury, Burrow’s renaissance and then Burrow’s ultimately season-ending injury. But we also got fine seasons from Jake Browning, Trey Hendrickson and Ja’marr Chase. We also got some real use out of the 2023 draft class, with each one gaining significant playing time. So what do we think of them now the season is over? Words: Andrew Dockerill Round 1, Pick 28 Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson It was always going to be tough for Murphy to come in and immedi ..read more

Bengals NFL Draft 2023: Grading this year’s class
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
1y ago
And just like that the draft has come and gone The Bengals add 8 new members so lets get into grading them all. Words: Andrew Dockerill Round 1, Pick 28: Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson The Bengals add more needed depth to the pass rush rotation. The board slipped away in the few picks before they drafted with Dalton Kincaid going at 26 and CB Deonte Banks a few picks earlier. Emmanuel Forbes went a lot higher than we initially expected at 16 and my CB1 Christian Gonzalez somehow slid to 17, but the Bengals didn’t make an aggressive move to go up to stop his slide. Of the remaining options, local k ..read more

The Big AI 100 Mock Draft 2023
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons
1y ago
Our final mock of mock draft season is our fourth annual AI mock where we leave AI to do its work in 100 mock draft simulations. This time I’ve split the mocks across four databases (PFF, PFN, Fanspeak and ESPN). The AI has had some success before, flagging the likes of Dax Hill, Zach Carter and Jeffrey Gunter last year and Chase, Ossai, Carman and Cam Sample the year before. What will it come up with this year? Words: Andrew Dockerill NOTE: Graph labels are in descending pick frequency order, reading left to right (i.e. Kincaid picked most, Avila the least). Top 3 Picks by position: TE (30 ..read more

Andrew Dockerill Mock Draft 4.0: The Dream
Bengals UK
by Paul Hirons

Yes, it’s finally that time. The final mock selected by me (our annual AI mock will follow!) and this one is a gem, so much so (barring one late pick change) it was graded A+ by Bengals Draft icon Joe Goodberry, no less. So let’s get to it! Words: Andrew Dockerill This is why Darnell Wright is my tackle 2 in the class… he had Will Anderson on lockdown in this game pic.twitter.com/4XoBoAjEdR — JoshLay (@JoshLay_JLay) April 16, 2023 Round 1, Pick 28 Darnell Wright, OT; Tennessee A name we’ve mentioned before in our Senior Bowl mock, but honestly, just the absolute dream scenario for the Benga ..read more

Bengals UK

This time around for our latest mock draft, we decided to veer away from PFF and use Joe Goodberry’sBig Board on Fanspeak’s simulator. Let’s see how we get on… Words: Andrew Dockerell Not hyperbole to say Dalton Kincaid has some of the best ball skills I've ever seen from a TE prospect – 2 drops on 108 catchable last two seasons – 16/27 in contested situations Legit 1st Round talent at a position I don't often advocate for that early pic.twitter.com/Ju1RPtJJpO — Mike Renner (@PFF_Mike) February 26, 2023 ROUND ONE, PICK 28 Dalton Kincaid, TE (Utah) Do I see the Bengals making this pick? No ..read more
