Browns Browns GM Andrew Berry said RB Nick Chubb still has a “long way to go” with his rehab from a torn ACL.  “He’s doing a really nice job in his rehab,” Berry said, via 92.3 The Fan. “Still has got a long way to go, but he’s progressing nicely given this point in time.” Berry said they wanted to fortify the running back position with Nyheim Hines and D’Onta Foreman this offseason.  “One of the biggest roster-building challenges is when you’re trying to plan out a position group when the availability of a player is unknown — whether it’s because they’re coming off a season-ending i ..read more

Ravens When asked if Ravens fifth-round RB Rasheen Ali can contribute immediately similar to Keaton Mitchell last year, GM Eric DeCosta agreed.  “Yes, I think that’s right. [Rasheen Ali]’s an explosive guy. I think he runs hard. He finishes his runs. He catches the ball well; he can run routes; he’s a good pass protector,” Decosta, said, via RavensWire. “Like I said, at the Senior Bowl, he was a guy that I noticed very quickly. He got hurt, but during the practice week, he was very explosive, and I think we all took note. We had him visit a few weeks ago. He’s an interesting kid. He’s got ..read more

Bengals 2024 second-round DT Jer’Zhan Newton was sliding in the draft which caused teams to call and inquire about moving up to grab him. The Bengals had immense interest, but the asking price surpassed what they were willing to give up. “In order to get him, they had to wait 10 excruciating picks after Braden Fiske became the fourth D-Tackle to go in five selections. The guy they coveted, Illinois’ Johhny Newton, was too far to go get and was gone by the fourth pick of the day at No. 36,” Geoff Hobson of the team’s website said. Undrafted free agency is an important part of the team-building process. From a pure numbers perspective, the NFL has to rely on undrafted free agents to compromise somewhere between a quarter and a third of all active players — not even counting practice squads. There were 257 players drafted last month and at least that many, probably more than 300, will be signed as undrafted free agents.  That makes undrafted free agency a potentially important source of talent. Ninety percent of these players will be cut and wash out of the NFL in a few years. But there will be a couple dozen who sti ..read more

Ravens Receive International Exemption For OLB David Ojabo
NFLTradeRumors » Baltimore Ravens
by Nate Bouda

The Baltimore Ravens officially received a roster exemption for international OLB David Ojabo on Thursday.  The international exemptions are typically used on players who are entering the NFL, but Ojabo is a former second-round pick with two years of NFL experience, so this is somewhat notable.  Ojabo is working his way back from a partially torn ACL he suffered last year.  Ojabo, 23, was a second-round pick by Baltimore in the 2022 draft out of Michigan. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $7.909 million dollar rookie deal that included a $2.932 million signing bonus. In ..read more
