He has had a number of health issues and we are helping the family sell his collection of vehicles including three Morgans. They are listed on Hagerty Marketplace with a very reasonable reserve and can be found below. These include #373 and #176. It is worth mentioning that #373 was owned by Peter Morgan and has an awesome history. #176 starts this afternoon. Hi all, my Morgan had been modified so it has a push start. The ignition switch just turns on and the key operates either up or down. So the car only came with one key and I thought I had found a replacement as the back of my key said 213. I thought it was FT 213 so ordered one. It was close when into the lock but would not operate. So I looked and filed down where I thought it was not quite a match, put the key in and now it wont turn and is stuck. Yeah, yeah I know but i'm not the only one. So I took the switch out and it has four bayonet connectors. I traced all the wires except for a red w ..read more

Will someone tell me what are all the connections to the fuel pump and the inspection plate on my + 8. I'd like to see if I've got any gunk in the tank and plan on replacing the fuel pump. Going to blow out the lines too. I'm really wondering what the line is with the duct tape at the end. I'm hoping this will cure the stalling problem I'm having ..read more

+4 Oil pressure Gauge (no replies)

Will be looking at a 1961 +4 in the near future. The oil pressure gauge is not working so need to rig up something temporary. Can either remove the pipe from the current gauge and attach another gauge but what fittings are normally used? (flat end or conical?) Or it might be easier to remove the pressure gauge pipe from the 4 way oiler on the bulkhead and attach a gauge there, again what fittings? (1/8 BSP?) Thanks Kevin ..read more

1953 flat rad upgrading to later wider front brake drums - advice please (no replies)

Hi Folks, After searching ‘on and off’ for a number of years I have finally found a pair of usable wider front brake drums to fit to my 1953 +4 ‘flat rad’ four seater “Betsy” which I have owned since 1968. I am pretty sure I also have a source for the wider brake shoes. I believe the Girling part numbers for the front slave cylinders are 390320 and 390321 can anyone conform that? Now, it’s the back plates that I am having trouble identifying and sourcing. A pal of mine has told me that BMC 50’s and 60’s cars such as the A40, A55, and A60 might fit can anybody advise me any further. I realise t ..read more

Rear Axle Oil Seals (no replies)

We're installing a Quaife ATB limited slip diff while the engine is getting rebuilt and I'm replacing all of the axle bearings and seals. I have the outer grease seals but still need the inner oil seals. The ones that I removed have leather seal rings and I want to replace them with Nitrile seals. Searching by the old seal's OD and ID, I found that a Timken 473212 is a match and am wondering if anyone has used them. They are wider than the leather seals, but there's enough depth in the housing to accommodate them ..read more
