Axle/Control Arm Stuck & CV Joint Boot need replacement

First time posting. I'd appreciate any advice I could get here. I was attempting to change my brakes and rotors on my F10 (2015 535I XDrive), when I noticed that my CV Joint Boot is ripped all my brakes are soaked with grease. So, as I always do, I looked few videos on YouTube on how to change it, ordered myself replacement boot with straps. Comes the weekend I take off the tire take off the brakes and rotors and attempt to remove pry the axle to the side so I can have access to the outer boot to replace it. Problem is that it wasn't moving, so I look up a few more videos, they suggested I rem ..read more

2005 325iT Getting P1632 Code, high battery drain, throttle/rpm oscillation, and the smaller positive/red cable in the trunk to the battery gets super hot and the shielding is slightly burnt/melted. Cleared codes. Replaced the alternator and throttle body but didn't fix the issue. The ground strap from the engine mount to the chassis appears to be solid with no tears or fraying and is bolted tight. Video of the RPM oscillation: https://streamable.com/uj5tzr Anyone experienced this issues before? Not sure where to go from here ..read more

Alternator upgrade?

'01 750. My alternator is starting to go out, I have noticed the weak voltage here and there, and its not quite dead yet but I have to plan this out before hand. That being said, I have been looking at replacements and noticed that the e66/65 alternator is indistinguishable from the e38 watercooled one from the outside, and it gives a nice 30 amp bump in power, from 150 amp to 180 amp. While I currently do not have any electrical load added to take advantage of that power bump, it is due for replacement anyways and might as well get a little bit more out of the alternator, especially on the da ..read more

Hello, & Please help, I'm looking for a water pump for a facelift 750il. It's NLA and I can't find any vendors online that stock it. I've checked eBay, pelican, bimmerworld, fcp, and so many more. Called dealers and nothing. The only way I can source one is if, by some miracle, someone has a NOS unit laying around in their garage or parts bin. I'm looking for OE Part number 11510393337. I'm located in Los Angeles. Willing to buy a pump made by any manufacturer. It's better than one with a bad bearing or buying a used unit. Thanks Photo for your enjoyment, and yes, it's a protec ..read more

AC fuse 9 keeps popping

Hey y’all, hoping to figure this one out before summer really kicks off. I have a 2001 540i touring and fuse #9 in the glove box keeps popping. This takes out the whole climate control panel, disabling AC. It seems to pop only on startup, otherwise it seems stable. I bought one of those breaker-fuses so at least I don’t have to keep buying fuses. I also tried upping to a 20A fuse but those popped too so I think I have a shirt somewhere maybe. Originally this issue started when the ambient air temp sensor got ripped off. It would pop either at startup or after running the AC or just the fans f ..read more

E88 convertible roof & climate control pannel fix

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with my BMW 182 E88 / 2009. The blower fan for the climate control system stopped working recently. I decided to replace the climate control panel (part number BMW 6411 9199260-01 ), but after the replacement, the buttons no longer open the convertible roof. Interestingly, when I reverse the change and put the old climate control panel back in, the roof opens again, but unfortunately, the blower fan still doesn't work. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Any advice on how to troubleshoot the blower fan or the roof switch issue would be greatly ..read more

For sale are brand new Supersprint headers along with Supersprint sport cats. I'd like to sell them together. If you're local, that'd be preferred, I'm in the Chicago area. Purchased these for my 540i but life got in the way. They were never installed; I recently just took them out of the packaging for photos. Check the following link for photos: https://imgur.com/a/8EiC5yc Thanks! For reference, this is Supersprint p/n 786801 and 786802. Retail is around 4900 Euro from their website, before shipping, so it's still a pretty good deal ..read more
