On today's episode we go over a trade proposal that was brought to us by a listener, and make the case as for why the Lightning should maybe look into aggressively upgrading their scoring over defense. With the scoring as high as it's ever been in the league, would Tampa be doing themselves a disservice by only focusing on searching for more talent on defense? We also wrap things up by attempting to put a dollar value on Steven Stamkos. Will the Lightning legend wind up with the bag this offseason, or will he settle for somewhere near the league average?

Victor Hedman will be going into next season on the last year of his contract. While some Lightning fans will expect the franchise to resign the veteran defenseman, others have already voiced their desire for him to be traded. We discuss the realistic chance of Hedman being dealt and how good of a return could we possibly see. We also get a head start on our offseason UFA target list. With the free agency pool set to be deep, we make the case as for why the Lightning will not have to dig deep into their pockets for a quality player.

We were all hoping to see a catastrophic turn around in Game 3, but unfortunately for us, and the Lightning, that was not the case. The Tampa Bay Lightning once again got off to a slow start in the opening 20 minutes, and the Panthers once again took an early lead. The Bolts did seem to get things going in the 2nd period as they scored two unanswered goals to take a 2-1 lead. That excitement was short lived as the Panthers would come storming back and score two goals of their own to take the lead once again. Tampa Bay was unable to mount a comeback and would eventually lose 5-3, falling behind ..read more

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be going back to Amalie Arena down 2-0 to the Panthers. We not only address the issue of them being able to win, but also the issues surrounding this team in general. The Lightning have been uncharacteristically mediocre on the power play with just two goals in eight chances. The Lightning will also look to get off to a better start in the first period tomorrow night, as they have only been able to muster up nine shots total in first period this series. Can the Lightning make major changes in order not to fall down 3-0 in the series?

Tampa's ghosts once again came out to haunt them as the Lightning turned out an abysmal first period in which they only had three shots. The Lightning would turn things around in the second period as they scored two goals to tie things up. We also saw a goalie battle for the ages between Andrei Vasilevskiy and Sergei Bobrovsky that would force the game to overtime. It would eventually be former Lightning player Carter Verhaeghe score the game winner to give the Panthers a 2-0 series lead. Will the Lightning be able to turn things around and tie up the series with two upcoming games at Amalie A ..read more

The Lightning failed to put up a shot on goal in the first 15 minutes of their Game 1 matchup with the Florida Panthers. They would eventually get things going and tie the game off a goal from Brandon Hagel. Tampa Bay would eventually go on to lose the game 3-2, falling down one game in the series. We recap the loss, and discuss the early struggles for the Lightning. We look at the game Nikita Kucherov had, and why it is imperative he gets going in Game 2. We wrap things up with admiring the play of Andrei Vasilevskiy who stopped 25 of 27 shots he faced to keep the Lightning in the game.  ..read more
