With Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day!) on the horizon, I wanted to share a list of great Mother’s Day gifts for moms. Let me start by saying you know your mom best (or your wife or partner or whoever you’re shopping for!). This list is just intended to give you some ideas you might not have thought about! I’m also sharing gifts I’ve given my own mom that I think are totally worth it based on their usage.

I keep posting about this little guy on Instagram, so I figured I’d make its own blog post! I got my floor mop robot (iRobot Braava Jet M6) for Christmas this year from my husband and kids. (Was that gift romantic? no. Did I love it? yes.) Since then I use it at least twice a week because it does such a good job cleaning the floors. We have hardwood floors on the first and second floors, and with 3 kids and a dog the floors can get pretty messy. (I actually think the dog is the biggest mess-maker, because he’s in and out of the backyard all the time.) Also I should note that we don’t wear sho ..read more

How do I make baby food at home? Does it take forever? How do you store it? Is making your own baby food worth it? …SO many questions popped up when I shared my new baby food maker on Instagram recently, so I thought I’d do a whole post about what I’m using to make my 11 month old’s food at home.
TL;DR: Homemade baby food isn’t hard to make when you’re ready to introduce solid foods!
Everything I use to make baby food
When my daughter was ready for food as an infant, I wanted to make it all myself but felt like I didn’t have the time for homemade baby food purees. You know… working, bei ..read more

Our baby is coming up on her first birthday and I have been mulling over what to do for her first party. There are so many cute and creative first birthday party themes out there! I don’t know if we’ll do a big party or just a family dinner, to be honest. We have a lot going on right now with 3 kids, building a new house, and just life! But I did big parties for our older two so I feel like I should do a big one for our youngest as well. You know how that mom guilt gets you… Regardless of what we end up doing, I may incorporate something from one of these first birthday party themes because t ..read more

Many of the baby toys we have for the 9 to 12 month age are ones that were favorites for my first two kids. I purged a bunch of toys and held onto the ones they both really loved, thinking that if the first two kids both loved them, our third child would most likely love them too. And I was right, for the most part. The 9 month age is such a sweet age, where they start to do something new every day. And I think 11 months might be my favorite age. So much exploring, and my baby loves to applaud herself when she figures out something new. It’s so fun for me to watch as a parent! Here are the to ..read more

I didn’t realize just how “off” baby clothing sizing could be. The first couple of weeks after we had our daughter, it seemed like I was throwing piece after piece into a pile of stuff that just didn’t fit right. It’s literally like women’s sizes, where a small in one store is a large in another. And when you have a baby who’s tall and thin, it can be tough to find clothing brands for tall babies that fit well.
Best Baby Clothing Brands for Tall Babies
I had bought all of these cute little onesies from stores like Old Navy, only to find out that my baby fit into a size 0-3 months for weight a ..read more

Being fair-skinned, I’m no stranger to self tanners. I’m always on the hunt for the most natural-looking tan (preferably without that tan smell or splotchy areas) and this one is the best self tanner I’ve found so far for a good summer glow. I’ve been using St Tropez for a few years now, so I thought I’d finally give it a proper review post! St Tropez has come out with more products since I started using their original formula, but I still go for the classic (which is a multi award-winning foam formula).
I’ve tried a bunch of other self tanners, but St Tropez is the one I keep going back to ..read more

I kept getting Instagram ads for a company called Few Moda, so I decided to try it out and see what the difference in the clothing really was! I was most interested in comparing the Few Moda dresses to the very popular Hill House Home Nap Dress, which I own and really love in the summer months. (See my review and honest thoughts of the Nap Dress here!)
If you’re looking for a Few Moda review, I’ve got you!
According to the Few Moda website, they give customers “direct access to beautifully crafted pieces made by the same manufacturers as the leading brands you know and love, at cost” aka same ..read more

We took our three kids (ages 6, 3, and 9 months) to Disney World during an admittedly busy week – school vacation week. We knew there would be crowds. But we aren’t the type of people to want to truly max out on a Disney park day anyway, so we didn’t think it would be a problem. We didn’t plan to rope drop, and I had a loose idea of which rides we’d go to in which order. Before we left for our trip, I did some research about Genie Plus (which replaced the old Fastpass system at Disney). I wasn’t sure if we really needed it, so we decided on the first day at Magic Kingdom to just go with the f ..read more

When you’re walking around Disney, you’ll notice two distinct groups of people. One is the all-in, family matching outfits group and the other is the casual, regular clothing group. We definitely go more toward the casual, regular outfits. I usually buy a few cute pieces for my kids but otherwise I’m all about comfort. You’re going to be walking a LOT, it may be hot, you’ll be standing in lines… You don’t want to be wearing anything stuffy or uncomfortable. Today’s post is all about what to wear at Disney, but if you’re looking for other Disney tips you can head here to see all of my Disney p ..read more
