I couldn't resist... this happens from time to time and I bid on a piece I think looks fun and interesting to explore. This time I got this pinky ring. It is stamped 18k. The black is onyx, the white stone I don't know. I knew it wouldn't be diamond and it isn't. When I test with the diamond tester it goes up but not into diamond range. The stone looks nice but has a lot of abrasion. I add a few photos. Does anyone have an idea what era and what stone this could be? It was obviously well...

Ok. First of all, wtf is going on with this ring? Did they extrapolate the face from some other ring?
But. That said. I am drawn to it. I have a 10 day return window.

Hi! I acquired this beautiful vintage ring. I don't know much about it, other than it is real gold. The stone in the center looks to me like a sapphire. It is beautiful, but I am unsure if it is worth enough to warrant an appraisal. From your experience, would you get this appraised for value? I'm not sure if I want to keep or sell, hence the thought about the appraisal so I would be more educated on the value. Thanks in advance for your help! Attached is a picture ..read more
