Summer love: real wedding inspiration at stunning Brookfield Barn
Queen Bea Photography Blog

One of my favourite weddings from 2023's packed season was this glorious summer celebration at Brookfield Barn in West Sussex. The beautiful barn wedding venue can be found a short distance from Horsham and Crawley, and is also easily reachable from the bigger metropolises of Brighton, Portsmouth, and London. Featuring a large rustic barn, a lake (by which you can also have an outdoor wedding ceremony), and acres of grounds, this venue has everything you'd want for a celebration in the English countryside. And this lovely venue was where the even lovelier Ellie and Jack tied the knot in Augus ..read more

At the end of the day, it's YOUR wedding day, and you want to feel like you - and the best version of you! So here are some amazing non-traditional wedding outfi ..read more

Best barn venues in southern England for your perfect countryside wedding

Here's a fun fact for you - I actually grew up in a barn! And before you get visions of me sleeping on a hay bale next to a herd of cows, it was a barn conversion with central heating and a working toilet. But perhaps this is why I LOVE a barn wedding venue; it's probably subconsciously making me feel at home as I take in those old, slightly wonky walls, high ceilings, and rustic wooden beams. Now barn weddings have become so popular, I think my parents missed a trick in the '90s by not converting our gargantuan sitting room into a wedding venue, and being well ahead of the curve! I've been f ..read more

The stunning and historical Fulham Palace has been on my wedding photography bucket list for quite a while. I'm lucky enough to have it right on my doorstep, and spent many lockdown wanders and/or ice creams amongst its beautiful grounds. So I was absolutely delighted when the lovely Dan and Lucy booked me to shoot their day there! The day began at Aragon House on Parson's Green, before the couple officially tied the knot at X church in Balham. A short jaunt on Routemaster buses later, everyone arrived at Fulham Palace to kick off celebrations with a shower of confetti, followed by mini golf ..read more

The London Wetland Centre truly lived up to its name on Mitchell and Rachael's wedding day, with sunny skies interspersed with TORRENTIAL downpours - leading to a very beautiful rainbow! This was a gorgeous wedding, where every little detail had been carefully thought of - from an awesome display of the art the bride and friends produced during the hen do (complete with a card explaining the collection), to dozens of handmade candles, and large personalised beer mat decorating the bar. Real Wedding Preview - Susie & Dom at Pangdean Old Barn

Susie and Dom got married on potentially the windiest day of 2023, at the beautiful Pangdean Old Barn near Brighton. Their original plan for an outdoor ceremony had to be shelved due to the weather, but that didn't stop them having an amazing wedding full of fun, laughter, love, and some seriously good dance moves! I'll never forget our jaunt up the hill to take some 'golden hour' shots - it was so windy up there it genuinely took me about a week to comb out the knots in my hair, but the weather did make for some great shots. Are you getting married at Pangdean Old Barn (or elsewhere!) and l ..read more
