In arguably their biggest win so far this season, the Grizzlies make a statement with a win over the Nuggets,
What a special Saturday night it was in the Association.
Four of top six teams in the NBA faced off against each other last night, and as everyone expected, it was the Memphis Grizzlies who emerged with the best performance of the evening.
In a 112-94 victory over Denver (a score that makes the game appear much closer than it actually was), the Grizzlies not only earned a win over the top team in the Western Conference; they made a statement in the process ..read more

As the “second half” of the Grizzlies season begins, there are a few individual areas of improvment that could put this team in a great position for the playoffs.
Memphis Grizzlies Basketball is back.
And unfortunately, last night against the 76ers may have been the perfect (yet unfortunate) microcosm of the Grizzlies play as of late.
A great defensive effort that could allow the Grizzlies to win a game against any team in any setting at any time that was thwarted by a significantly stagnant offense during clutch time.
The All-Star Break was great, as the efforts ..read more

In their first game back from the All-Star Break, the Grizzlies once again let a big time lead slip away late.
The Grizzlies late game struggles are starting to get repetitive, and it is making a harsh reality clear that these struggles are going to be hard to correct. While the return of Steven Adams in the near future may help, it is more than just one player. It will take adjustments from the entire roster and coaching staff to make any improvements consistent.
It was a disappointment night, especially from the offense. Ja Morant had one of his worst offensiv ..read more

The Grizzlies take a tough loss to the 76ers 110-105.
The Grizzlies were back in action against the 76ers for their first game since the All-Star Break.
1st Quarter
Joel Embiid is 2nd in the league in points per game, and the Grizzlies made a point to make him uncomfortable early. Clarke and Jackson racked blocks on Embiid in the opening minutes of the first. Offensively Desmond Bane was the Grizzlies’ ignition in the first quarter. He scored an early 14 points and made 3 three pointers in the first 7 minutes. Bane didn’t stop there; he drained a tough fadeaway ..read more

Since the beginning of the “Grz Nxt Gen” era, the vision for this team has always been around Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. All-Star weekend showed that the vision is materializing.
When the Memphis Grizzlies selected Jaren Jackson Jr. with the 4th pick in the 2018 NBA draft, he served as a bridge between two eras: the last stage of “Grit ‘n’ Grind” they were running back one more time, and the inevitable “rebuild” on the horizon. Whoever they picked with their next high draft pick would determine how the Grizzlies would be building around their uni ..read more
