The 25-year-old is a restricted free agent on July 1st and without an extension in place has elected to not play in the event. The news is not surprising given that Luukkonen would be risking injury without the security of a long-term deal in place. It will be a blow to Finland’s roster for the tournament. Luukkonen’s future looked murky at the start of the season, but the native of Espoo, Finland put up terrific numbers on a w ..read more
